Character's backstory: Much of Ralph Elleker is known as an adult. He was very close to his father throughout his life and they shared ventures and positions. Both defended against a Scottish invasion of England, and were victorious at Flodden in 1513. He came to court with his father, who used to attend Queen Katherine of Aragon on special occasions, but he soon made a name for himself, becoming a favorite in tournaments. He served as a member of Parliment for Scarborough, but due to his closeness with his father it is difficult to conclude if the member of the earlier years was the elder or younger Elleker. It is believed that the member of 1529 on was the younger Elleker. In 1536 Elleker was in the north of England when the uprisings in Lincolnshire and Yorkshire began. He initially remained loyal to the King, earning his praise. Elleker was taken prisoner and he agreed to join Robert Bowes on a mission from the rebels to the King. He remained loyal to the King, but he was later accused of having prejudices against Cromwell. He again returned to Parliment in 1542, and in 1543 became marshal of Calais, and in 1544 served as marshal of Boulogne after it's takeover. Elleker was killed in an ambush in Boulogne on April 26, 1546.
