I must admit I had forgotten it was the anniversary of Henry's death until something on facebook jogged my memory. On this day in 1547 King Henry departed this life. He was at Whitehall Palace.having sent his family away. He requested that Thomas Cranmer be with him when he died. When Cranmer arrived he found that the King had lost the power of speech. Cranmer asked Henry to press his hand if he died in the faith of Christ which the King did.On this day in history a true colossus departed from this earth Henry was larger than life in every way not just his mighty girth!! 2 out of 2 found this valuable.
