Suggestions for favourite scene in The Tudors poll

Most of us have favourite scenes in the series. I thought it would be interesting to run a poll to find out which one is the most popular overall. I will start the suggestions off with the following:-Henry & Anne's Volta Dance Henry as a young man ( with the flashbacks to his younger days, final episode) Anne's Execution Episode Do you find this valuable?

Great thread Carol, oh I have lots and adore the ones you have mentioned I also loved the final episode with Henry willing Charles Brandon to live.

I thought Annes execution scene was very well done and very moving. The last few seconds as the sword strikes and her head begins to fall were incredible. Well acted by the cast particularly Natalie Dormer. As for my favourite scene, ooh difficult one. There were so many, but Cromwells execution scene was very well done. Again moving and horrifying and James Frain gave an excelent performance. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

I love those scenese. One of my favourite scenes besides those is Katherine Howard's last dance scene before her execution. Strangely it seems alot of favourties so far have to do with executions!

It has to be Annes execution, so powerful and emotional, after that when Henry dreams of death.

Ooh another one which I like is the scene where Buckingham is about to be executed (we're a bloodthirsty lot lol) and it's juxtaposition with the scenes of Henry rushing to see his newborn son. One life ends and another starts. clever.

I agree with the ones suggested already, such as the Volta Dance, both Anne and Cromwell's executions and Henry's dreams of death in the last episode. I thought the scenes where the ghosts of Catherine of Aragon, Anne Boleyn and Jane Seymour coming to haunt him were well done too.

Katherine imagining that Mary comes to see her on her deathbed.The ghosts of Henry's first three wives. Charles getting caught with Buckingham's daughter. 2 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

also Charles Brandons death scene, it does all seem to be death scenes lol I do find the scene with Margaret Tudor and her "husband" going to bed for the first time quite funny!

henri and annes volta henri going back to his young years looking at his portrait ( last seazon) Anne boleyn dancing for francis and henri Henry crying over jane seymour body Mary tudor saying "I ll recognise no queen but my mother " Milord Surrey trial Surrey and lady hartford seduction game 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Katherine Howard realising that she fancies Thomas Culpepper back (although that was more than one scene). Basically the whole affair.

Hi all. I've been away for a while, but here are my suggestions:- The scene where Anne confronts Mary and offers to reconcile her with the King, only to be rebuffed as the 'King's mistress'. The part where Anne dismisses Mary with a mere arch of her eyebrows is great. - The scene where Anne is told the 'swordsman of Calais' would be delayed. Natalie Dormer does magnificently in portraying Anne's utter despair and desperation. Also, I love the earlier scene where, having made her last confession and seemingly resigned to her fate, Anne grabs Bishop Cramner's arm and pleadingly asks if there is not some way he might be able to intercede for her. There are so many scenes from this episode - I might as well just choose my favourite scene from that episode alone! - The scene in Season One, where Compton seduces Thomas Tallis - following him around asking him to 'Say yes'. - The look of utter misery on Anne's face when told she has given birth to 'a very healthy baby girl', followed by the change in Henry's expression from mirthful to angry when told the 'bad' news by Cromwell. I notice all of these scenes are from the first two seasons, and I don't think that's any accident. I find that the last 2 seasons just don't have the magic of the first two. It's almost as though the producers lost interest and were just filling in time. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

LOL Last orders please! I am going to close the ideas for inclusion on the poll thread by the end of today. We have an amazing amount already, and I think it will become a little too chaotic if we have many more. So if there is something you would hate to see missing from the poll please add it now.
