Duke of Suffolk season 4
Aug 25 2011, 1:19 PM EDT | Post edited: Aug 25 2011, 1:19 PM EDT
Is it just me or did the Duke of Suffolk get hotter and hotter the more they 'aged' him. I didn't much care for him in his younger days - too much of a 'pretty boy'. But once the hair got longer and the beard appeared, I think I fell in love haha. In season 4 when he is on campaign in France, and he had his hair tied back and was shouting orders to the soldiers, I thought I had died and gone to heaven. Just had to get that off my chest. Lol. 3  out of 3 found this valuable. Do you?

I agreed and it wasn't just in appearance that he got better looking he got more responsible and mature which I also see as qualities of a good looking man!! I also agreed that when he was in France he seemed to be raising the hotness level a lot because he was actually smiling and it was him in the light that he seemed to be most comfortable!! I agree and I think I mentioned Brandon's more mature look as one of the better things about Season 4.

i prefer a more weather beaten look to a man which shows he has experienced life. i don't really care for the pretty boys either.

Yes men like fine wine can improve with age Sadly people seldom say the same for women. Whereas it is remarked upon that men develop lines of distinction with women those same lines as just called unattractive wrinkles! Do you find this valuable?

I have to say, Henry Cavill looks gorgeous whatever his hair looks like but I am not into full beards or ponytails so I thought he looked better in seasons 2 and 3....a little bit longer hair and bit of stubble. Kind of interesting that the hair and make up dept made the men have longer hair and beards to age them. You would think guys would realise that facial hair ages them specially if they are grey beards. They didn't really add wrinkles until they were really old.

I never noticed him very much until those scenes with the French girl. Then I noticed him. I liked his older look better, although I usually don 't care for ponytails and facial hair, either. But something about how they styled him worked for me. Do you find this valuable?

I think the 'aging' of the men was more effective than that of the women. I have to say, seeing the images of JRM from season 1 through to season 4 side by side, they actually did a pretty good job of 'aging' Henry. Although I think they could have pushed it just a bit further, to get more of a contrast in the age difference between him and KH - I may have had more empathy for her in the show.
