I thought Katherine Howards execution was the most memorable for me, especially when she said that she would rather die as Culpeppers wife, I was in tears. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

Thomas More and Katherine Howards were probably the best visually but I always find myself deeply moved by Robert Aske's. I think that's partly to do with him being an old man in this programme though, and he seemed a real sweetie. I didn't like him much when Sean Bean played him in Henry VIII. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

"Actually I thought that Catherine Howard moment to be very realistic. That is probably what a young person, not in total control of herself would do at such a time."
Perhaps, but it was not what Catherine actually did. It's as if the producers were thinking 'oh we had better show this because otherwise the audience won't realise that being executed is scary'. The same way that they had Anne Askew screaming on the rack and the moment she was set on fire, which is also incorrect, incase anyone didn't get that she was in pain.

From what I have read most people went to their execution with incredible bravery. It has to be difficult for us in this day and age to fully comprehend how terrifying it must have been for them.

I think what would have helped them was the fact that people of that time had a very strong religious faith. Especially people like Anne Askew and Thomas More who believed they were dying for God. Do you find this valuable?

"I would certainly vote for Anne's execution as being the "best" to watch. This episode was beautifully done from start to finish - in my opinion one of the very best episodes in the entire series. Full marks to Natalie who I thought was a great Anne Boleyn."
I agree wholeheartedly and the scene where she reflected on her childhood had me in tears. the relationship between anne and her father was truly bittersweet and I think nick dunning portrayed annes father really well. I found Thomas more's death very moving too as he was one of the nicest people and his death was so unnecessary. Katherine howards was sad as she honestly did not know what she had gotten herself into and was thrust into tragedy so quickly :(

I would like to comment on the fact that a so called 23 people clicked the "no" button to the "Do you find this valuable" question!!

What, exactly, is not valuable about the opinion given?

Why are so many people coming to this site and dissing comments but not saying anything themselves?

Can you click the button more than once?

I am really perturbed by this. It is so juvenile and should not be something that is a part of this site.

I see nothing wrong with any of this lady's comments, so I am putting my two cents ( or pence) in to counteract this rudeness.

I thought Jeremy Northam and Natalie Dormer gave the most impressive reenactments of the deaths o of Thomas More and Anne Boleyn. Both should have had a ton full of accolades for their performances. Do you find this valuable?
