"For me the best season was three. I'm in two minds about James Frain playing Cromwell. On one hand he's a good actor and played the part well. But on the other hand his appearence, mannerisms and a lot of the way the script potrayed him for me was just not Cromwell. I suppose everyone has their own idea of how historic characters they are particularly intrested in should be shown."

"Yeah I think the real Cromwell was a lot fatter and scarier! :) He was pretty scary though when he interrogated Madge Shelton though in Season 2! However, I think Frain's portrayal is definitely the best portrayal I've seen of Cromwell compared to other historical dramas and films. "
