Does anyone know if the same acctress played Brandons wife in the finale episode, her face was coverd so I'm not sure and since I watched on line all the end credits were not included. Catherine and Brandon were so sweet when they first got together I wonder if she really paid her respects at the end Do you find this valuable?

I haven't seen the ep yet, but I think historically speaking spouses did not attend their partner's funeral. I'm not 100% sure about that though. The real Catherine was with him when he died though, together with his daughters Frances and Eleanor. Do you find this valuable?

Oh gosh. I loved this episode, but the scenes pertaining to Charles and Catherine Brandon absolutely infuriated me. And I really hated how in her last scene, Catherine was portrayed as and spoken of as being a b****.

Though Charles has apparently forgotten it, there is a reason that Catherine Brandon is "estranged" from her husband in the show. Though it went against his conscience, he killed all of those Northern subjects, and nastily triumphed at the execution of Cromwell. I also wanted to vomit when Henry VIII was talking about him having never betrayed a friend, and blah, blah, blah. In the first season, he betrayed Wolsey with the help of the Howards!

Sorry about that tirade, but I absolutely loved Catherine Brandon, and I was really sad when she was not included in the final season. If the actress didn't want to do it anymore, they could have recast her. This would have been the perfect season to do so. Everyone was looking older, so they could have easily found another older actress to play the part.
