ETR's passing

To those of you who knew elizabethtudorrose (Kate) - I have some very sad news. I received this email just moments ago from Fiona3."It is with great sadness that I am writing to let you know my sister-in-law, Katie, has passed away. You are familiar with her posting as Elizabethtudorrose. Her death is quite unexpected and her family is grieving at her loss. The Tudor Wiki was a very important part of Katie's life and she often wrote to me of how many friends she had made who shard her love of Tudor England. The support she received here from so many people after the death of her father in February was tremendous and meant a great deal to her. I am sorry to be the bearer of such tragic news but I know she would have wanted me to let her friends on the Tudor Wiki know of her passing." Do you find this valuable?

Yes I have to say I am in shock. We had just recently within the last couple of days had an exchange of emails and she told me how hard this Christmas would be after the loss of her father this year. I feel very bad for her family...she was a very kind hearted person and was involved in building the "thinking of you" pages for when other members needed support. She always took part in the wiki with enthusiasm and respect for others opinions. In particular her religion thread was an example of her always keeping things level headed. She will be sorely missed.:( Do you find this valuable? |

Its` so hard for me to know what to say, without sounding patronising or condescending. However, ETR was such a genuine, lovely lady and her posts here were always so informative and illuminating. Her family and friends will be in my thoughts. I`m so sorry, I`m so shocked I just haven`t got the words. My condolences to all of her friends and family.

Oh my god, I don't know what to say...I just can't believe it. Some time ago, I was in contact with her about messages; she was so nice. She will be sorely missed. My condolences to her family and friends. Do you find this valuable? |

I don't know what to say either. I never actually spoke to ETR one-on-one, but she seemed to be such a gentle, open-minded person, and was always so thoughtful and considerate of other people in her posts. Like everyone else, I'm really shocked about this...it's horrible.

I am shocked too. I never had any one-on-one interaction with Katie either but I enjoyed reading her posts and her passion for everything tudor related. I am sorry I didn’t get to know her better and my condolences to her family.

It's going to be strange without her. I will really miss Kate, she was such a pleasure to talk to and was a unique member of this forum. At least we have her contributions to this site which we will treasure forever.

I am so going to miss her. She was a wonderful, caring person, and made an effort to extend her love to everyone. She extended both great empathy and sympathy...you could ask for little more in a friend.

I am utterly shocked and dismayed by the news. I will truly miss her and never met her face to face. I really loved talking to her. She was truly intelligent, warm, caring and fun to talk to. I am glad to have become one of her friends. I only regret that I did not get back to her in a timely manner in regards to my faith. She was truly interested and I hope she did read it. I give my condolences to her family and friends and may ETR continue to give love and kindness wherever her karma takes her. OMG i am stunned. She was such a lovely person, i had a couple of conversations with her and she was always so nice and respectful. I love how she always insisted we call her ETR to save our tired fingers from typing. She really was a great member on the site and i am going to miss her loads. I am shocked and saddened by this news! She once sent me a private message when I mentioned a spiritual difficulty in one of my posts. Such a sweet lady! God Bless her!

I am shocked and so very sorry to here of ETR's passing. I tried to post on her Rememberance page, but the easy edit tool bar won't work for me. I had wanted to post that I am deeply sorry for her loss and I would like to give my condolences to her family and her friend TudorCrazy. I hope they find comfort in this difficult time. I didn't know Kate (ETR) through IM's, but through her posts I did come to know that she was a kind, caring and very compassionate person. This wiki has experienced a great loss. May she rest in peace!

This is a stunning loss to the Wiki. It seems like I just read ETR's post on Princess Diana a week ago!Like others have mentioned also, I did not know Kate personally. However, her posts were always unfailingly courteous, thoughtful, and creative. (I remember loving the fantasy artwork which served as her personal icon on the Wiki! It seemed truly unique.) My thoughts and prayers are with her family this Christmas. Do you find this valuable? |
