Uniform for different types of executions?

I was just browsing this page and realised that the people that were beheaded all wore white shirts (apart from the ladies), but then people that were hanged wore normal clothes and then the people that were burned had that grey cloak. Was there any reason for this or was it just a coincidence? Do you find this valuable?

I think its related to what was standard clothing of the day. Nobles wore fine linen shirts, while common men would wear wool or hessian as Smeaton wears and Fish and Lambert. The clothing you wore showed your station in life. The mass hangings wouldn't have been a big spectacle as the single executions were so that would just be as they were found.

There could be a dress code for the executions. The court issued orders on what each person in the kingdom might wear. Certain type of clothes was forbidden to certain sections of the people, irrespective of whether they could afford it or not.

As Squirrly says, the clothing were to show your station in life. Also, nobles were treated differently than commoners even in their execution. So it probably is not a coincidence.
