Award for thomas Cromwell

He earned this award with his blood. He'll never know all the wonderful things that he did throughout his life in service to his king and country. He gave everything. And when the king asked, he gave again; until naught was left. I like to think if we (all of us) were to somehow go back in time that we would find a way to stop his slaughter. What happened to him was unconscionable. Until then Thomas.

Aww. A sweet sentiment. Thanks, LadyLil. I think what happened to Thomasx was unjust as well. But, Henry was a tyrant, and many died unjustly. What's worst is how histoy...those who write the history--lead us to believe he was evil incarnate. He has truly been slandered throughout the ages.He was no saint, but he changed England...and for the better, imo.

If he could have some how see how his Reformation did last...did take hold, I know he would be pleased. If he could see that his son regained a title for the family and had many healthy children, he would be comforted. And, maybe, if he could see his great-great-great nephew, Oliver Cromwell become Lord Protector, he would feel avenged...or, most probably, he would feel sad. For, Thomas, unlike Oliver, believed in the monarchy...and supremacy of that monarchy. That may have been his one true fault. He gave his master, Henry, too much power.
