Henry VIII's 500 year coronation anniversary

Since April 23, 2009 marks the 500 year anniversary of when King Henry VIII was coronated as King, could we do something special for that? Maybe we could have some pages dedicated on how he helped England during his rule or things he did that changed the world. What do you all think? :)

I hope that about 50 years from now, whatever they do for the 500th anniversary of the coronation of Elizabeth I will be even grander.

I'm going to be doing a fun dinner for my friends and I. Its going to be a dinner with period food, music, etc.

I will think hard. (now we're in trouble) LOL. I was born on the 25th. And I can see why Henry was such a pain in the @#$%! LOL anyway...I will be really busy durning that time with my Garden Club and our local Fair...we will have our flower arranging & the Judging is after. But I might beable to get online sometime after all that...so let me know what to do. I will think of something we could do in the meantime....desilee 3 out of 3 found this valuable. Do you? |

I've gathered a few sources on recipes and am going to test a few out soon to see how I like them. I hope they are going to get the videos. They thought I was wierd at first.:-) now I'm cool! Anyway I think we should plan an online vertual party with decorations, dress, table settings, and food ect. Everyone particapate and pick out a charactor they want to be. and what they want to do to prepare for the recoronation anniversary up to the day of. 3 out of 3 found this valuable. Do you? |

"Boy, that's the truth, I am trying to get my grandkids into this I bought books for them for Christmas and I actually got there parents into it. I hope they are going to get the videos. They thought I was wierd at first.:-) now I'm cool!What a good grandma you are! Mine has a passing interest in history but she was a clinical psychologist so she sometimes gets interested in historical figures in order to pick their brain. She and I once got into a heated discussion about Anne Boleyn and she described her as a "hoochie momma". My grandfather, her husband, died on May 19th. Yeah, we need to think of some way to celebrate on the wiki. Those are some great suggestions, thankfully we have lots of time to think of more. 2 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |
