"Also everyone respect your retail salesgirls and boys when you are shopping.... although there are some of them that are downright rude, most of us are overworked and underpaid. That's very true jmccoy5712, it wasn't too long ago that I worked in retail (on Christmas Eve two years in a row!) and I remember how hectic and stressed out things can get. Hope you get some much needed R&R and have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Years (hopefully you will have the day off!)! 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

Yes, Christmas should still be celebrated this way! I love Christmas, and the Tudors had it right! Kudos to the explanation of the "12 Days of Christmas" symbolisim! For some reason, I never knew that all those animals and other gifts stood for Christian virtues, etc, so that was very enlightening to read! Also, the videos were to die for! Can I work there?!!! How lovely! All in all, a fantastic page! If I had the money of a Tudor Queen, I would also celebrate until the 6th of January! Do you find this valuable? |

I`m not disagreeing with the intent of the OP, however, I prefer this modern age of religious tolerance. The Tudors may`ve had god on a stick, but disagree with them, and they`d drag you into Smithfield and burn you in front of a jeering crowd. It`s also, all very well ramming God and Christ down everyones throats, however, millions of atheists just like me will be enjoying a religion free winter celebration with our friends and families, without necessarily succumbing to materialistic greed. I don`t know why, but the OP got my goat on that point. Do you find this valuable? |
