Thought you might all appreciate these recent youtube additions. Members of Historic Royal Palaces staff were asked which of Henry VIII's wives was the best
and this is what they said. (cut & paste the links into your URL bar))

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2uBkxTYFuwQ&feature=channel - Kate Mechedou who has spent two years playing Katherine of Aragon at Hampton Court gives her opinion.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8JYM_X-BAI4&feature=channel - Yeoman Warder Alan Fiddes from the Tower of London states the case for Anne Boleyn.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4dIyCD1e2hQ&feature=channel - Chief Curator Lucy Worlsley gives her opinion on Jane Seymour

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bf9cyUlHt6U&feature=channel - Curator Brett Dolman argues that Anne of Cleves was beautiful, intelligent, loyal and in fact the only wife that Henry considered marrying twice!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dyP0OLLP-O0&feature=channel - Susie Lipscomb, Research Curator at Historic Royal Palaces, argues that with Kateryn Parr, Henry saved the best until last.

Unfortunately it seems no one was found to put the case for young Katherine Howard.

These are great MsSquirrly! I really liked the passion of Brett Dolman as he pleads Anne of Cleves case, and Susie Lipscomb did a very good job for Kateryn Parr. :) Do you find this valuable?

Thank you for your kind side taking. Brett being my son of course makes me take his side anyway. Wife and I worked hard to get him educated to where he has got today bless his little cotton socks.

Well, xan26, he has certainly done you proud!! Katherine of Aragon has always been my favorite Queen, and after seeing these videos and Brett's very compelling plea for AOC, I would gladly have jumped on her band-wagon!! :)

Hey Karen, well I open a word doc and then when I find a site I like....I highlight it in the URL bar and right click and hit copy...and then I put my cursor on the word doc and paste.
I have a youtube account and I am subscribed to a few sites...this one is the Royal Historic Palaces and they recently put up all these videos. I made a list of them and then cut them and
pasted them on here. :)

Hope that helps.

"But who won???"
I don't think it was a competition to see who won...they just asked some of the people who work at Hampton Court Palace & the Tower, who they thought was the best. Just opinions. :)

Well I have still to find the website you all quote as I hadn't any idea how to find it. Now with this latest info I will have another try. Brett is supposed to do a talk today at Twickenham History society about his exhibition at Hampton court on 'Young Henry' but as he lives down in Kent I can't see him getting to Hampton Court today and then on to Twickenham tonight! Snow and more Snow.

Rather than go through all the clicking and pasting I gave up and just typed - Brett Dolman ann of cleves - into google and there it was. Having watched it I then downloaded it to replay and the sound after downloading into real player was much better. I saw that his years at CAmb. University where he also did quite a bit of acting in Cambridge came over with this presentation. Proud Dad Richard Do you find this valuable?
