The Queens Discussions
Aug 19 2008, 10:28 AM EDT
To lighten the historical stuff....Maybe we could either add a discussion or a page "If the queens were speaking to each other" Imsgine them seated at some grand table with many beautiful things, what do you think the discussion would look like'? Anyone want to start ? 5 out of 5 found this valuable. Do you?

"To lighten the historical stuff....I think this is a great idea! A kind of collaboration story, if you will. It can start out on this discussion thread and we can eventually transfer it to the Tudors Fan Scripts to store if for posterity and easy reading later. :-D So, here is the deal: You can write the lines for any of the six wives, but it can only be one bit of dialogue. You can't write two wives' dialogue at once (or a whole scene, for example). Pick a few lines for your character to say, and then let someone else take the story on! THE QUEENS' DISCUSSIONS SCENE: At a grand table in an unidentified palace surrounded by oppulance, 6 WOMEN sit contemplating one another. One WOMAN, with a calming but determined air about her, begins to speak. CATHERINE PARR: I believe you know why I've called for us all to meet here. It has been 10 years since Anne of Cleves' death, 10 years since the last of us departed the earth. We need to air out a few things. 4 out of 4 found this valuable. Do you? |

Katherine of Aragon: Well, since I was Henry's first wife, I will start things off. I'm going to ask all of you a question and Anne Boleyn and Katherine Howard I expect an answer and not the usual "headless" shoulder shrug that you have given in the past.....What were you thinking??

KATHERINE HOWARD: (Pouts) It's hardly nice of you to make fun of those of us who were not fortunate enough to be banished off to an old, dreary castle. And besides, I've found that thinking too hard about anything always complicates things. Look at Anne. That's why Henry liked me.

And I did after all produce a MALE heir!? 2 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

ANNE: That was just the luck of the draw darling, as we have all come to know now. Don't take yourself too seriously Jane dear...after all, it is obvious that Henry surely didn't and I don't need a head to see that!

"Very sweet of Anne not to point out that the male heir Jane produced is dead now and that it's her daughter who's ruling England now. :-DMy fault. I forgot that all of Henry's heirs made it to the throne within just a decade of his death, so with the setting of the script---Elizabeth would be ruling by then! EDIT ANNE: A lot of good did that do! Where is the little imp, by the way? I want to thank him for keeping the throne warm for my sweet Elizabeth...I mean Her Majesty By the Grace of God The Queen of England, Ireland, and France, Defender of the Faith and Supreme Head 2 out of 5 found this valuable. "The script page is locked to everyone but moderaters, why is that? I was hoping to add more, =)"Sorry for that! It wasn't meant to offend anyone-quite the opposite. It's just that everyone was not posting on both sites (I know, that was confusing, my fault I take the blame!), so I maybe that page should be locked to stop confusion. So... When you want to add to the story, come to this thread and post your line. I will make sure that it is transferred to the script page, and that way everyone won't have to post in two different places, thus losing parts of the script. Sorry for the confusion, and I hope this works! Do you find this valuable? |

"Okay, I wasn't offended...just confused lol.Jane to KOA smiling with much more confidence, I had hoped you approved of my decision to make Mary his godmother. Although my son died young and may not have been a great ruler. Mary looked after both Your strength Katherine (OA) gave your daughter a different and mighty strength. We know Elizabeth was a beautiful ruler but we must not forget they were children with complex lives growing up. She then grins and tells Anne remember Mistress Anne Henry was around much longer in Elizabeths life and had many who helped mold her life and what became her mighty rule.. She glances at the others wives and says Well what say you all ? 2 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

I'm enjoying this immensely! Please, everyone, take this in good fun, too. :-) ANNA OF CLEVES: All good, good children; I wish Henry would have let me looked after them for longer than he did. (Directs an exasperated glance towards Kathryn Howard) It seems he felt they were in better need of a playmate. Do you find this valuable? |
