symbols.
maybe i am being overly perceptive, but considering how brilliantly this series was executed, (har har) and the attention to detail i give to everything..
i thought i'd ask. i hope this isn't in another thread, because i would feel like a fool. it seems that in the show, Anne Boleyn's.. symbol.. there's a better word but i can't think of it.. is a crow. or maybe it's a blackbird. (i know in reality it was a falcon) but there are many scenes during the duration of Anne's reign that a blackbird is seen in flight. & of course at her death, a small flock of 4 or 5 takes flight. last thing she sees. and this.. symbolism seems to repeat with Katherine Howard. except with her; it's the moon. there are so many parts during her (too brief) time on the series that show the moon in various phases. and the last thing she looks at before her death is the bright morning sky... and the slice of moon. but did any of the other queens have symbols like this?? am i completely bonkers?? i'd be interested if anyone else noticed this, or if anyone noticed any other animal or thing that seemed to represent any of the other queens. maybe it was just because Natalie Dormer and Tamzin Merchant were the most endearing and entertaining to watch queens. or maybe they were the only two that Henry was really, passionately in love with. any ideas?
