The Tudors in France
As you all know, or I assume you know, I'm French and I have the pleasure to announce you that the thrid season of the Tudors is going to be put on TV next week on a channel called " Arte". The Tudors have been already put in the TV's channel in 2011, on Canal + for season 4 and Arte for season 1 and 2.

Tudors star Jonathan Rhys Meyers fined after threatening to kill three
I wish someone would tell him how much his fans love him and that we hurt too in his self destructive ways...
i pray for him, it's really gone down hill for him since his mother died.

Nidd Hall Portrait
(Been forever since I last posted!)
I still believe the Nidd Hall portrait to be a contemporary of Anne Boleyn in her final years. Allison Weir alludes to to stress, which would fit with the final descriptions of Anne, as she had losing her beauty and becoming thin. But Allison isn't always the best source. There is an exceptional similarity between the portrait and the medal of Anne Boleyn, especially in the clothing and gable hood. As for the nose, Jane's nose is more straight, wider, and does not have a very rounded curve at her tip as the Nidd Portrait does and as does the NPG portrait of Anne Boleyn. And Jane's nose in the Whitehall copy curves down and out as opposed to the inward bridge of the Nidd Portrait. The eyebrows are also darker, longer, and slightly thicker than Jane's, however fit well with the NPG portrait of Anne. The eyes are also brown as opposed to light blue. The lips also favor Anne Boleyn; Jane has a very thin upper lip, her bottom lip reaches the corners and does not purse into a small smile/smirk as the lips in the Nidd and NPG portrait's do. I'd argue that the lips in the NPG and Nidd portrait are near identical.
The portrait could be based off Jane Seymour by Holbein, but there many similaraties between the Nidd Hall portrait and the NPG and also the medal of Anne Boleyn. So much so that *I* believe it to be AB as opposed to JS or even based on JS.
Hui brings up the engraving that could be the inspiration for the portrait and so on, but the Nidd Hall portrait is generally given to the 16th century, while the the Whitehall portrait is a 17th century copy of the original.
Just some thoughts of mine, nothing definate.

Missing Character
I miss the girl, that played Princess Elizabeth on here.Laoise Murray or so was her name. She played Elizabeth very welll,
she had a certain grace about herself, quite a bit of her mother's personality I'd say (-:

Why...
Is the page locked? Too much on it? Then I would suggest deleting some of the not so important stuff, like the thousands of quotes, and add some of the important things; like his sisters that seem to have gone missing in the family listing, or is there a purpose behind only stating his brothers?

Actors performence
He's good, very good, but I would'nt go as far as to put him in the same league with Peter O'Toole. He ain't as good looking as Peter, and he's gotta drink way more.....but I liked the series. The acting was very good by every one,and I do hope to see all of the actors again in movies.Compliments to Anwar,Dormer and Cavill.

Off to Rehab again.....
http://www.mirror.co.uk/celebs/news/2010/05/19/jonathan-rhys-meyers-told-check-in-to-rehab-or-i-m-dumping-you-115875-22268216/
The girlfriend of Jonathan Rhys Meyers warned him last night: “Check in to rehab or I’m dumping you.”
Heiress Reena Hammer gave the Tudors star an ultimatum after he was banned from boarding a plane in New York following a drunken, foul-mouthed tirade.
Reports in the US say Reena, 23, is also demanding that he seeks treatment for anger management.
One source said: “She has told him to get serious counselling for his drink and anger problems or else she will be taking a hike – out of his life.”
Irish actor Rhys Meyers, 32, who plays Henry VIII in TV’s The Tudors, hit the roof after staff barred him from a United Airlines flight to Los Angeles at 7am.
He had been downing vodkas in the VIP lounge and pals say these early-morning sessions are nothing new.
Another article 22/05/10: One of the greatest performances on TV in recent years has been Jonathan Rhys Meyers playing Henry VIII in The Tudors.
I would put Rhys Meyers’ Henry right up there with James Gandolfini’s Tony Soprano. Yes, that good.
But Rhys Meyers gets more headlines for drinking than acting. His latest scrape had him knocking the vodka back for breakfast in a VIP lounge in New York.
He wasn’t let on the plane and all hell broke loose.
Jonathan Rhys Meyers was in the papers again for all the wrong reasons.
And it is ironic because the world loves drunken actors – as long as their exploits happened years ago. Books have been written about the boozy shenanigans of Richard Burton, Richard Harris, Peter O’Toole and Oliver Reed. Jonathan Rhys Meyers is in that grand tradition. And it is worth noting that, for all his troubles, he is a better actor than all of them.

"Princess" Elizabeth
This is bugging me... on Sunday night, when Queen Katherine is talking to Henry about bring his children back to court, she refers to Mary as "Lady Mary". Then, first she refers to Elizabeth as "Princess Elizabeth" and then "Lady Elizabeth." Was this an error or intentional. Elizabeth had already been labeled illegitimate and never would have been referred to as Princess. And if it was intentional, why not refer to Mary as Princess Mary??
Any thoughts?

Why do you love The Tudors?
They made it clear that they were going for entertainment rather than accuracy, and they've lived up to that; I'm such a history nerd who is far too obsessed with the history behind it, and the inaccuracies get on my nerves more than anything else, so re-watching a few episodes the other night, I started wondering why we all love it. For me, it's mainly the actors [Natalie Dormer and Nick Dunning for example, they were amazing] and the costumes [not accurate costumes at all, but they're stunning], but the Tudors has a certain charm that keeps me watching, no matter how many inaccuracies there are.
So what about you?
