Would they like each other?
Has anyone thought about, would Jane Seymour like Anne of Cleves? Or would Kathryn Howard like Catherine Parr?

To those who admire all wives!
i have seen here in wiki, and another foruns people making a saint of their perfect wife and despising the others in a defamatory ways. Why this?? We can have our favorites, but we don't need to despise no one. So i want to know the people like me, that can admire all these strong women.

Catalina, Anne, Jane vs Anne, Kathryn, Catherine
Okay, which do you prefer the first three wives, or the last three? Not from the tudors though. It has to be what youv'e read or heard about them. The ones that actually lived.

After all the wives why is Anne Boleyn the most intriquing?
I have been re watching the Tudors everyday for weeks now.As much as I love Maria Doyle Kennedy's performance, and gifted portrayal as "the Queen of Hearts," Anne is haunting my intellect. Maybe not Anne, Maybe it is Natalie Dormer as Anne, and Michael Hirst's vision of Anne. I am now reading more about her, even after the standards of Ives, Starkey etc. Perhaps it is anticipation of the new book that is coming out about her in the spring. Is it me, or is there an oblique fascination to her character? It is like seeing a car accident, and not stopping yourself from watching.

Queens rank and reason
Hi everyone
I'm curious how modern day ladies and lords rank and share why they placed the Tudor Queens in order from Most to Least favorite I'm going to start
1. Catherine Parr- She is traditional and forward thinking. Kind to all the King's children...clever and strong...the opposing fraction failed (or in the time) was not able to turn the King against her.
2. Anne Boleyn- Need I say more? Surely one of histories most fascinating women. Perhaps she was too bizarre for ladies and men back then but she was a friend to the English ppl. Her acts of charity through money, sewing of clothes, and washing peasants feed...makes her noble.
3. Katherine Of Aragon- She was a true royal Queen.
4. Anne of Cleves- we know the king did not fancy her...and that is mostly what we hear...but most ppl liked her...She was friendly and kind to Elizabeth and to Kitty Howard.
5. Jane Seymour- I dislike how she became queen. Maybe I would of liked her more if we knew she did not agree with Anne's death...no matter how perfect for Henry she was and birthing a boy...she gives me a very untrustworthy feeling...
6. Kitty Howard- Poor girl. Too young and taken advantage of. All the wives were taken advantage by their families, the faction, and the king, but Kitty was so young and very ill advised...I think if she had time to mature she would of been great.

First Wives Club
Thought you might all appreciate these recent youtube additions. Members of Historic Royal Palaces staff were asked which of Henry VIII's wives was the best
and this is what they said. (cut & paste the links into your URL bar))
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2uBkxTYFuwQ&feature=channel - Kate Mechedou who has spent two years playing Katherine of Aragon at Hampton Court gives her opinion.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8JYM_X-BAI4&feature=channel - Yeoman Warder Alan Fiddes from the Tower of London states the case for Anne Boleyn.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4dIyCD1e2hQ&feature=channel - Chief Curator Lucy Worlsley gives her opinion on Jane Seymour
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bf9cyUlHt6U&feature=channel - Curator Brett Dolman argues that Anne of Cleves was beautiful, intelligent, loyal and in fact the only wife that Henry considered marrying twice!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dyP0OLLP-O0&feature=channel - Susie Lipscomb, Research Curator at Historic Royal Palaces, argues that with Kateryn Parr, Henry saved the best until last.
Unfortunately it seems no one was found to put the case for young Katherine Howard.

Your favourtie Queen (in real life not from the tudors)
Ok since there havent been all six queens on the tudors yet, who is your favourite of Queens or one you read the most about? know the most about or are interested the most in?
The most popular seems to be Anne boleyn on the internet, largely due to her controversial role in british history, so many rumours, stories and saddness are associated with her. My most interesting queen is katherine howard, as so much is hard to find on her. I also am keen to learn as much about Katherine parr as possible as i admire her courage, she was arrested during her time with henry for her affiliation with the reformation thus causing a scandal but it is beleived a good friend tipped her off so to speak, Henry had issued her with a warning to keep her place, but she did not stop and wrote many compelling articles and had great writing skills.
