Anne Boleyn and the Reformation
What form do you think the Reformation in England would have taken, if Anne Boleyn had never been Queen?

Lice caused the Reformation?
Here's an interesting tidbit....could lice have been a factor in the rift that caused the Reformation? A recent guest blog at Scientific American says it could have been. Quote:
"...The history of lice and men is a long, itchy story that intertwines co-evolution not only with these blood-sucking little parasites but also with the microbes they carry.... These insects, with a single bite, could give you something that could kill you....One of the best-known of these microbial passengers is the bacterium responsible for typhus...Typhus was one of the greatest killers in human history. It shaped outcomes of war from the 16th century to the 20th, from Hungary and Turkey, and most of Europe and into the New World. In 1526, the French army had to end its siege of Naples because typhus had killed 28,000 of the besiegers in a month. For perspective, the failure to take Naples left Italy and the papacy in Spain’s power. The pope at the time, Clement VII, to avoid angering Charles V of Spain, declined to grant Henry VIII’s divorce request from Catherine of Aragon…and the Protestant Reformation was born...."

KOA' critiscms of the Catholic Church
While KOA was very devoted to her Roman Catholic faith, in private she was very vocal about thing such as fake relics and the emphisis of Sains - ironically she was actually painted as two Saints during her teenage years - does anyone know in extra information about this, such as quotes etc.?

Anne Boleyns personal faith and its impact upon the Reformation.
Hey guys, I know we have since moved on from Anne Boleyn and the first and second seasons, but since the Reformation and religion is an on going theme in this programme, I thought it would be interesting to discuss what impact Anne's personal faith had upon the Reformation, and wether you think it had any at all? Im starting with a quote from the 'Five Women of the English Reformation'. It was found in some papers belonging to Sir Thomas Tresham and reads
'Anne Boleyn, the bane of that virtuous and religious Queen Katherine, the ruin of many pious, worthy and famous men who favoured not that unlawful marriage, the first giver of entrance to that Protestant religion' Any thoughts?
