When do fictionalized facts matter ?
Susan Bordo, the author of the new book "The Creation of Anne Boleyn" which is coming out in 2013, has written a piece on this topic and it is posted on our Tudor Times blog here : http://www.thetudorswiki.com/page/The+Tudors+Blog. Check it out and weigh in on your opinions. When do you think fictionalized facts matter and what is your take on books like "Bringing up the bodies" &"The other Boleyn girl" and shows like "The Tudors"?

Elizabeth (the movie)
I watched Elizabeth earlier today and was wondering what you all thought of it. It was a good film, though I did catch some historical errors. But the director, Shekar Kapur, does state he made this film based on Elizabeth's personality not the history. Michael Hirst did a great job writing it and I could see how it was very similar to the Tudors. What are your thoughts?

The Tudors
ABSOLUTELY the BEST tv series I have ever seen!!! We just watched the final episode here in Canada Nov.23/2010..I am SO sorry to see it end..Michael you did an amazing job..I wish that it would continue on.Last week I watched Elizabeth and Elizabeth The Golden Age for the 3rd. time!! I love royal history..my ancestors are from England and one was Lord Holliday/Halliday.Jonathan Myers was amazing as Henry and his wives are gorgeous..the costumes were breathtaking and the scenery.
Perhaps my love of The Tudors has to do with the fact that I am Irish and am just finding my roots by searching the web as I was adopted and know litle of my past ancestories history. Hope you do another history series like The Tudors..JOB WELL DONE!!

The Tudors
I just wanted to write to let Showtime and let the producer of the Tudor know how much I enjoyed the series. I could not wait for the how to come on which airs in my city on Sunday at 8:00PM. I am awestruck as to the performance of each cast member. I just wanted to let someone know that I really enjoyed every moment of watching the show the costumes are fabulous. Thank you for bringing viewers the opportunity to get to know the king and his many wives and children. All that I can say is BRAVO, BRAVO, BRAVO, BRAVO. THANK YOU!

Any other websites.
I'm a bit of a costume junkie, so I'm looking for some websites with pictures + imformation on costumes used in The Tudors and other productions.
I already know of The Costumers Guide to Movie Costumes and Recycled Movie Costumes, but I was wondering if there's any other websites? Thanks in advance.

Am i the only person reli impressed with the brillaint costumes for this season.
i liked the jane seymour teal dress from last year but the top of the sleeves were garish and i hate the style. The only complain i do have is about Jane Boleyn in a gold dress??? WHY???? Sheshould be in gowns similar to other maids

I saw this on facebook
I'm a fan of the show on facebook and saw this. Here is the link to the pagehttp://www.facebook.com/home.php?#!/TheTudors. If the link does not work this what it says " Don't miss the season 4 premiere Sunday night at 9 PM ET/PT followed by a first look at Michael Hirst's new show The Borgias only on Showtime."

Designers Challenge not an easy task
With a show this scale she did a good job. It is no easy task to sew for such a large cast and extras on set.
Some of the garments aren't exactly what I would create, for a Tudor costume drama, but they are interesing to look at. I would have been happier to see less tiaras and more Tudor hoods and such, that's it for my critique. I did get the thrill of seeing what type of hat or gown would the characters wear next, some of them are very fantastically fashioned. The Tudors in history did have an ostentatiousness about their dress than made them interesing. I think that is what the designer did try to portray with each Queen was personality and she did that through, color, texture and tailoring of the gowns. Plus Henry and his courtiers she did the same effect for attitude with dress, it did work for the screen I think.
