"I'm embarrassed I spelled her mother's name wrong it is spelled Llewelyn. They have many ties to Tudor geneology.
She is in Australia, and I'm sure they will get lots of support. But so unusual for a man to get breast cancer. Having had a double mastectomy myself, I know how hard a surgery it is. However, I did not have cancer, so my recovery was pretty easy. I made this decision when I was 43. I was a high risk, all the women in my mother's generation had breast cancer, so I went ahead and just removed them.
But this is so different. He has had 2 rounds of chemo, and she says he was very sick from it. Like I said, they have a cattle ranch which is quite large. I can't imagine how she will run a cattle ranch, but she says she is coping. I guess peoples good wishes is the best I can do for her. I have not seen her in 25 years. but I think about her so often, as Wales is so enchanting. So much Tudor history there."

Wales is a beautiful part of the country, I have a lot of family there myself (i`m from just over the border in Liverpool!). The landscape is almost melancholy, but all the more lovely for it (I think I`ve been reading too much Dylan Thomas).
I have heard of men suffering from breast cancer, i believe that stats are about 1 in 100 men will get it. It is rare, but it happens. You made a very decision yourself. I`m lucky in that my parents cancers were not hereditary, and there is no breast cancer in my family. I am a smoker though, but I`m starting some support group soon to try and quit (strength in numbers and all that).
Anyway, try not to frett too much. The treatment is harsh, but effective, and people`s goodwill is always appreciated. If your friends know that you are there for them or praying for them, it will be of great solace to them.
