Season Two

Jane's first meeting with Henry - Episode Seven	Comments/ Reviews It may not be time accurate but this is one of Jane's most lovely dresses. I adore it, I want! Anita looks immense in it, so gorgeous. I love it! Grace_B Such a gorgeous dress and she looks like an angel, but it isn't Tudor, it's too modern. -KatherinetheQueen This is the most beautiful dress i've ever seen, definetely my favourite dress in the whole series. I think they should have used this when they brought Jane back in season 4 because she really does look like an angel. The colour is pretty and the gold embroidery really does bring an angelic, supernatural glow to the costume. latristessadurera I adore the sleeves and gold embroidery and how it's continues from the bodice the her skirt. I also like the train. It looks rather heavy from the full length pictures though. I adore her little pearl headpiece. ~ TheFreeSpirit-X I don't know why, but I don't like this very much. I know this was ment to look angelic and totally different to Anne and it does do that, just not for me. Lady History. I love this dress so much. The colour really suits her pale complexion.The dress is so light and flowing, i really like the trail too. I love the embroidery of the bodice that goes down into the skirt. The sleeves are lovely too, especially how they split into long and flowing ones as well. And the simple pearl band in her hair goes really well. She has such lovely hair. She looks really angelic. amore_angel I like this costume because it gives us a good first impression of what Jane is going to be like. It is light and pretty, and makes her look almost angelic. It seems to emphasise the complete contrast of personality between Jane and Henry's other women.- Tudorprincess A very beautiful dress considering it's neautral colour. Anita wears it very well and compliments her fair hair and skin tone. The golden embroidery is amazing and it makes the dress sparkle, making Jane look truly angelic. I love the long, flowing sleeves and how the outer dress opens up over a purer white dress. fleur_de_lis I love this dress. So light and pretty. She really does look like an angel here with her golden locks and pearl hair band. It highlights her purity and innocence. I really like the simple embroidery on the bodice. mary_bess_edward Is this a nightgown or a dress? I could never figure it out. Whatever it is it's very beautiful. I love the bodice and the sleeves especially. The trim on her chest also deserves an honorable mention.-Anne'sCurls I do really love this dress. It's perfect for Jane and makes her look like a vision, an angel. I don't think it's a nightgown, which were different in that period, it's a gorgeous day dress with a touch of medieval style in the sleeves and in the neckline. - LadyLorhen I love this dress. Want one just like it. Something about it reminds me of a wedding dress-AB_Fan07 She looks like an angel with this dress.. BoleynGirl A truly angelic dress, the bodice fits her perfectly and i love the mixture of the two sleeves, the tight fitting ones and the long flowing one that are attatched from the upper arm. I love the flowing skirt and the mixture of the soft fabric of the dress mixed with the gauzy lace. I also love the idea of the train flowing behind her like a river of cream. The cream colour is inspired as it doesn't make her look like a ghost like pure white would, the off white goes well with her complexion and hair. The gold threading makes the whole outfit sparkle and she does indeed look like an angel descending from heaven. It's more of a medieval dress than a Tudor one but it really is beautiful. milkofhumankindness This dress is so beautiful, I love the gold embroidery on the white silk! I also love the style of the dress. It was perfect for the scene and really made her look angelic. MademoiselleBoleyn A very lovely gown but I do not think it is a gown in which you would have been presented to your king. I like it though. Marina de Champagne I know it is supposed to make her look angelic but Anita Briem just does not fit that description. She looks more like a determined and "bitchy" woman - which is what some people would describe Anne Boleyn as. That's why it doesn't work for me LouiseTudor
Lady in waiting Dress - Episode Eight & Nine	This is the best dress out of all Anne's ladies. It's funny how she's different, it's probably to show that she's the one the king loves now. But she looks lovely and her hair is amazing and i love the headdress. If I were a tudor queen and I had to choose one of the dresses from a LIW from the whole series i'd probably choose this for them. Grace_B The soft, pale yellow is really pretty and it is a good fitting on her. I think the crown on the bodice is a bit too modern for my liking though. latristessadurera This is one of the better lady in waiting dresses but I honestly would of expected Anne's ladies to have something a little more extravagant. The skirt is quite nice and the headdress is almost like a french hood, which is good. ~ TheFreeSpirit-X The pale coulour suits her well. I don't like the lines that run down the bodice but i like the crown. And the headdress looks great on her. Like its a sign she;s going to be Queen in future. She looks much better than the other ladies in this. Everyone says she looks like Eleanor Luke but she is the only one who looks good in her outfit. amore_angel Yeah, you can definately tell this ladies in waiting ensemble was true to Anne Boleyn's taste. The French Hood, the French style gown (with a big crown on the bodice) - it might not be totally accurate but atleast the designer showed a difference between Anne's household wordrobe and Katherine's. I'm interested to see how Jane's ladies look in Season 3! - Boudica She wears the dress better than all the other ladies. It suits her complexion and is a nice fit on her. But the dress itself is very plain. Jane wears it better than Eleanor Luke though. mary_bess_edward The dress itself is very plain, i think this is a bad choice considering Anne was meant to have brought good fashions to court. The print is boring and the crown is tacky. However the colour and fitting is perfect on Jane so i guess that the dress may have actually been designed for her and then used for the other ladies where it doesn't work as well with them. She looks nice in it. fleur_de_lis I don't like her hair at all, pictures from the back make it look like it was gelled, moussed and sprayed with the 70's wiglet curls. I think hairstyles were of necessity much softer in those days. Also, the headdress looks too "regal" which I don't think Anne would have tolerated. - karenofbethany Im not going to be rude or anything, but this dress forces her chest area look un-natural. Does anyone else think that? - emmqueenofwales I think Jane looks very pretty in this dress. The color is very basic but she manages to pull attention to herself in it. - LNor19 The colour is very pretty. The pattern is a bit simple but i like how they try to liven it up with vertical lines and the crown on the bodice. I like the hint of moderness of the crown but it doesn't really suit the dress or era. The sleeves are also a bit too big on her, i wonder if this was someone else's dress before she wore it. milkofhumankindness This dress is ok, but not my favorite. MademoiselleBoleyn The color is pretty and suits her but the way they did her hair makes me mistaking her with Eleanor Luke. Marina de Champagne
Jane being sworn to Queen Anne's service, and then changes her cloak to attend the joust.	She looks lovely in this. Green really suits Anita and the blue cloak is lush, I adore it. Grace_B Another pretty, soft colour that suits Anita. The dress itself is rather plain, boardering on boring though the cuffs are very fancy. The rich colour of the cloaks are gorgeous though, and the material of the cloaks are lush. latristessadurera The colour is nice, about the only thing that is nice about this dress, I'm not that keen on the cut of the dress. I like the dark blue cloak. Not so sure about that headpiece though. ~ TheFreeSpirit-X Oooohhh! I do like this colour on her, just not the dress. Or the dark blue cloak. Lady History. The pale blue works well for her complexion. Even though its quite plain it still looks nice. I love the ruffed cuffs. And the cloaks go well with the outfits, especially the lighter one. It looks like one of Arwen's cloaks from Lord of the Rings. I also love the simple yet elegant hair piece with the pearls and topaz. amore_angel Very simple dress that highlights the nature of this woman: humble and virtuous. The colour, also, this... watergreen... fits relly well with Anita's tones. -LadyLorhen I love the turquoise, it really suits Anita. I prefer the turquoise cloak to the blue one. I also like the Elizabethan twist with the cuffs. Simple yet elegant. Also love the hair piece. She always seems to have great hair ornaments mary_bess_edward A nice dress though it is very plain and wouldn't have worked well on a plainer actress but Anita looks beautiful. The bright but pale colour works well with her fair features and the matching cloak is beautiful in texture. I love the hood i wish she would have gone to court in the cloak with the hood up rather than the royal blue one. The ruffed cuffs are a bit random but adds some well needed visual to the outfit. fleur_de_lis Compared to the lady-in-waiting dress, it makes her chest not too "in your face" and the way the necklace hangs, keeps our attention on her chest without everything poking out! - emmqueenofwales Another beautiful dress that fits her perfectly. The blues and turquouise works beautifully on Anita. I love the frilling on the top of the bodice anf the actual shape of the bodice can really be appreciated here. The ruffed cuffs are a bit Elizabethan but it brings a nice twist to the outfit and livens it up. Both cloaks are amazing and i love the heavy material combined with the thinner, lighter material of the dress. The turqouise is a wonderful matching cloak whilst the royal blue is a good accompanying piece. That along with with the jewelled hairnet makes this simple dress into a beautiful outfit. milkofhumankindness I love this dress, the color is so stunning and even though it is simple, it looks fantastic. MademoiselleBoleyn The Colour looks fantastic on her but the dress is hideously cut and does no favours to her slender figure. The majority of the costumes on this show are Elizabethan but thi....god knows what era this is from. amethyst_pisces One of my favourites for Jane, this green is stunning on her! Jane, before she is about to receive the locked from Henry - Episode Nine	She is adorable in this, I love her hair too. Dark is really pretty and really suits her. Grace_B I can't tell if the dress is grey or pale brown, but it is really pretty. I adore the crinkled lace on the bodice, it is stunning and creates a variety in texture. The jewels in trim running around the bodice is very inspiring. latristessadurera One of the nicer gowns she wore in season two. I like the trim/embroidery on the side of the bodice that goes down onto the side of the skirt. I like the bodice. The two colours work well together. I also like the little headpiece. ~ TheFreeSpirit-X A boring colour, but I do like the trimming. Lady History. This is probobly one of Janes better dresses. the jewellery on the head could be done without but the rest reli suits her. amethyst_pisces I love the ruffled bodice. The two colours really compliment her and her complexion. And the embroidery around the bodice that goes down into the skirt is beautiful. I just wish they would have kept the sleeves and shoulders smaller. amore_angel The colour of the dress is gorgeous I love the fitting and the shape and it flatters Jane's chest. Thelight pinkish-brown ruffled effect of the bodice is also clever and again brings attention to her chest in a chaste way as well as being visually appealing. The embroidery really completes the outfit and makes it sparkle. fleur_de_lis She needs a head piece in this photo. The color washes her out. karenofbethany I like the bodice and think the two colours suit her well. Not too sure about the skirt though, especially as the ruffled lace seems to carry on down. Love the little jewelled ornament looks very bollywood mary_bess_edward I love the color of this dress.. BoleynGirl This fits her well except for the slightly baggy sleeves but other than that it is a wondeful dress. I am in love with the the ruffled lace in the bodice that creates a fanned effect. The embroidered trimming around the bodice and skirt makes it even more visually stunning and creates a sparkle. The choices of colours are interesting and probably would not have worked well on their own but together they make a pretty mixture. milkofhumankindess I like this dress very much! The bodice is gorgeous LouiseTudor This gown is very pretty and unique. The bodice is unusual, but really cool and I love the trim they used. MademoiselleBoleyn Sober but bery pretty, grey looks great on her. Marina de Champagne

Jane has her locket returned - Episode Nine	Once again, dark colours really working on Anita and suit her rather well. The headdress actually goes with this outfit! Grace_B I didn't think that dark colours would suit Anita but this works really well. The bodice is a bit plain but i like how the material from the skirt runs up into it. This is probably one of the best fitting dresses and i adore the draping o the skirt. I think the hood goes better with this outfit than her other, which is a bit too yellow. latristessadurera. Nothing special. The headpiece doesn't go well with the dress. ~ TheFreeSpirit-X Not too keen on the colour but she looks good in it. amore_angel Headpiece looks so much better when her hair is down. She's got beautiful golden locks. I am so jealous mary_bess_edward I don't like the colour and pattern together which reminds me of tree bark. The colour does look good on Anita and it really is gorgeous considering how plain it is. Jane's true beauty shines out here because we are not distracted by bright colours. I also love the white trimming above the neckline, its as if part of her undergarment is showing but it looks cute because Jane refuses to show anymore skin that the dress would naturally show. I love her hair here. fleur_de_lis This mature colour works well on Anita though i think i prefer her in cooler colours. The gathered effect of the skirt is amazing and i love how it looks like it is folded and hitched up. The pattern is a little dull but the headpiece and the white frilling on the top makes the dress really pretty. milkofhumankindness The headpiece does not go with the gown. I love the dress, the pattern on the bodice is so gorgeous and the colors really flatter Anita. MademoiselleBoleyn Alas, this dress does not do her justice. Marina de Champagne
Jane at court - Episode Nine	Another dark dress that works incredibly on Anita as Lady Jane and looks rather pretty and she really suits it. Grace_B The colours compliment each other well and i like the soft material of the bodice. I do think it suits Lady Rochford better. But i absolutely adore the hairpiece. latristessadurera I like the colours together and the bodice is nice. Looks better on Jane Boleyn in season three though. ~ TheFreeSpirit-X I don't like the colour of the dress. Its too dark to her and doesn't suit her that well. The lighting doesn't help that much either. But the bodice is nice, i like the material used. I also love her pearled headpiece. amore_angel The material is goregous, but for the whole effect it would have been better as a richer colour such as wine red or deep blue/green. The pattern on the bodice charming but would have worked better on a different material such a plain cotton and not something so shiny. fleur_de_lis Absolutely love the dress but the headpeice looks really messed up and wrecks the whole costume. I've just realised her costumes never evolved much when she was waiting to be the Kings wife whereas Anne's did, I found that not weird as such but just a dissapointment she could of looked gorgeous in more extravagant pieces. -Neta07 The brown is visually stunning with the cream of the bodice but i wish they would have minimised the cream a bit more so we can appreciate the brown. The satin is lovely to look out and the shine and shimmer really catches the eye. I really like the sparkling gems around the bodice. milkofhumankindness I love the rich brown satin that is used for the gown, it goes very nicely with the creamy bodice. This gown is very pretty although the headpiece should go. MademoiselleBoleyn
Henry and Jane become engaged - Episode Ten	Wow! Fantastic! She looks enchanting in green and it works really well. It's a beautiful gown itself and really suits Anita. The colour is fantastic on her and the pendant actually works too, even the earrings. Although I'm not sure this is quite tudor, it looks slightly middle age or after the romans. Grace_B An absolutely gorgeous gown. The fabric is so lush and the colour is lovely. The pattern on the fabric is so pretty and i love the combination of gold on turquoise. The lace sleeves gives variation in the texture of the outfit. The bodice on its own is absolutely stunning, and i love the medieval style of the gown. She really does look beautiful in this, i think she compliments the gown and the gown compliments her. It looked nice on Annabelle but simply stunning on Anita. latristessadurera. I don't see what all the fuss about this dress is. The colours go well together though and the sleeves are quite nice, I'll give it that. Her headpiece is nice. ~ TheFreeSpirit-X ll admit to being a fan of the more traditional outfits on here but this one shows creative genius. It is absolutely beautifull. Absolutely stunning dress. The colour is so beautiful and the material is amazing. It looks really nice and soft to wear. I also love the sleeves and how it splits at the top, which one again makes it look longer. Better than dress sleeves Anne wears where they split at the elbow. Its like a fairytale dress. You can see why Henry loves her because of her sweet angelic appearance. I also love the bollywood headpiece. amore_angel This must be my favourite Jane Seymour costume. It's elegant, yet there is a simplicity about it. And the colour is so soft and it brings out Anita's natural tones and is great against the lush green of the gardens -just magnificent.-Neta07 My favourite Jane season 2 dress. The pale colour works beautifully with her ivory skin. The pattern is very indian inspired but works well with the English colour tones. The material also looks wonderfully soft and quilter. The lace sleeves make less fuss and so work well with the split outer sleeve. It is the best type of over the top elements but it stops short of making it tacky. Anita shines out in it and looks like a princess. I also like the headpiece which really does make it look like an English Bollywood dress. fleur_de_lis OMG this has got be my favourite dress in the whole series of the programme. The colour suits Anita wonderfully and i love the pattern on the fabric. The fit is wonderful, especially the bodice, and the pearls finish it off perfectly. She looks like a medieval princess mary_bess_edward This is may favorite from Season 2 as well. It looks very Arthurian to me, which coincides with Henry asking to serve her "as Lancelot served his Guinevere" - Boudica very beautiful dress, this color is one of my favorite. she really looks like a fairy.- Jes89 I like this one for some reaon, I especially like the bodice. I think the color looks good on her and is soft like Jane is supposed to be. I agree that it looks like it came from Robin Hood or King Arthur's time. Its very different from anything Anne of Katharine would wear. -Anne'sCurls Stunning, absolutely stunning! The dress fits her perfectly and she looks very elegant and princess like. The shade of turquoise goes perfectly with Anita's Scandinavian features and colouring. The swirls of gold in the pattern goes well with the background colour and the cream of the pearls make it refreshing to the eyes. The fabric has to be the most luscious material i have ever seen, such a soft texture and it looks wonderful to wear against the skin. I can also see the bollywood twist in the outfit, particularly in the pattern and headpiece, and i love it. A fabulosly beautiful dress which is extravagent but doesn't take take away from Anita's beautiful face. Definetely one of the best dresses of the whole existance of the programme. milkofhumankindness This would be probably my favourite Jane's costume. - LadyLorhen This dress is one of my favorite in the series! The color is so pretty and the style of the dress is very unique. I love how the sleeve splits at the top and how the skirt open to show an underskirt. I'm not a fan of the necklace that she is wearing with it though. MademoiselleBoleyn One of my favourites too. It has everything to make Jane beautiful.
