I'm probably a little late in replying to this thread. However, I disagree that Henry VIII didn't let Edward build natural immunities. I doubt that they had the necessary meds to completely wipe out all existing bugs/germs etc. The only thing that really wipes out your immune system, is abuse of anti-biotics, which they simply didn't have access to. Dirt was a fact of life for these poor guys.
