   | Comments/ Reviews The pattern is strange for a start - Is it floral? Or what? And it isn't at all tudor, Neither is it Elizabethan. To be honest, i think, if anything, it's more the style of a nightgown. Grace_B I'm with latristessadurera on this one, I really can't stand this outfit. Plus, it's too plain for Anne. Although the tiara clashes with the dress, I do love it and would have loved to see her wear it with something else. -KatherinetheQueen The colour and pattern of the gown are horrid and uninspiring, as is the fitting though i appreciate this is because she is pregnant. The pearl headpiece doesn't go well because it's too bright for such a dark outfit and it clashes. A gold or silver tiara would have been more appropriate. The horizontal slash in the sleeve looks cheap. latristessadurera I'm not a fan of the dress but I love her little tiara. - TheFreeSpirit-X The colour is so dull and i don't like the band around her her elbow. amore_angel I'm not a fan of the dress, but I LOVE the tiara! It is so beautiful! I wish she had worn it more in the season. I NEED to own this tiara. It is just perfect! Anyone know of any like it? Whenever I describe it to anyone they look at me as though I am simple. - TheMostHapi This gown is too simple for Anne. Anne was a trend setter, she had more elaborate gowns. I love the bodice of the dress, It's unusual and I don't think Anne would have worn this - I know it's a dream. I love it though! Grace_B I'm thinking Sleepy Hollow. It is pretty and the black and white compliment each other. The corset is a bit fussy but the white fur is lush and i like how the theme carries on in her jewellery and tiara. latristessadurera I love the pattern on the bodice and her cloak and tiara. Her jewelry is also amazing. - TheFreeSpirit-X I really don't like this. The frill around the neckline and the trim are awful and it makes her stomach look fat. Lady History. I don't like the pattern on the sleeves. But the trimming around the bodice and the embroided pattern is beautiful. She looks unnaturally flat chested in the first picture though. amore_angel Is it just me or does this scream Mrs. Claus? Don't get me wrong. I absolutely love this outfit; it's absolutely amazing.-Neta07 Agreeing with Neta07, this does look a lot like something that Mrs. Claus would wear, but I adore the cape that she has on. - carteremily The pattern on the bodice and sleeves are awful but the fitting is nice. It gives her a flattering chest on the second picture. mary_bess_edward The hood is beautiful, I love the stitching on it. The crown and the necklace also. I think the gown looks better with the coat on. It just looks weird without it. I think it's the sleeves on the dress that, for me, it just doesn't mesh well with the dress. -GoldenAged.ER Too goth looking, karenofbethany yddib I don't like this at all. Black is not the most flattering color for Natalie. I think this dress would have been better suited for Katherine. - offwithherhead I have to defend this outfit, I like the hood and the jacket. It reminds me of the one she wore in the church when the priest speaks against her and Henry. The colors are what really makes this ensemble stand out. I never saw the underdress in the show and I agree I don't like it. But with the cloak on I think it's nice. -Anne'sCurls I don't really like this gown. It's all so busy and unfocused. The detail is amazing but a little too busy. ~Dakkietudor Definitely one of my least favorites. I don't like the cut, trimming, sleeves, hood/cloak or color. It just doesn't work. Maybe it would have looked better on someone else with different coloring or body type. I thought this gown worked perfectly for this scene. It's all about black and white, death and life, dream and reality. Her paleness is appropriate here. Antoinette2. I love this gown and the cloak. I can see Anne wearing it, but alter the sleeves to be Tudor sleeves please. Charlie-Beth-Hayden I love this outfit, especially the embroidery on the bodice. I love the colour, but it dosen't particularly suit Anne. Grace_B I like the colour and I love the bodice. The cloak in the third picture is cute. I like her necklace also. - TheFreeSpirit-X Anne wears this is season 1 and I didn't like it then. It looks better with the overcoat. Lady History. II like the colour. But i don't like the bodice and the split sleeves. amore_angel love this gown, the slit sleeves are a little... odd. But besides that it's really cute! -TheLadyNatalie I've seen this gown on a number of things i.e Elizabeth and a Phillipa Gregory book The Virgin's Lover but in those they tried to make the blue look really harsh and on this they made it baby blue which makes you admire the dress more-Neta07 Oh wow. This gown is just beautiful. Blue seems to be another color that just compliments Natalie/Anne. Blue and Red. I love the detail on the bodice. So pretty! I also like the crown used in the other pictures. -GoldenAged.ER It's funny that she is pregnant here and the dress design makes her waist look tinier than ever! karenofbethany Blue is definitely one of the better colors for Natalie, but it brings out the blue in her eyes, which unfortunately should have been brown. - offwithherhead This is Elizabeth's gown and it needs a shift peeking through the sleeves. Anne in the same brown gown with a fur cloak/jacket and matching fur hat. She is on a walk with Henry right before he tells her he is taking her to Paris so he can introduce her as the future Queen of England to King Francis-2.2     Brighter & More detailed picture of the skirts design. |

   High quality detail of the gown's print. | This is lovely! But I wish we could have seen more of the purple, I agree with latristessadurera, It's gorgeous. It is more Elizabethan though, annoying thing about most of Anne's outfits! Grace_B Elizabeth would have worn this, not Anne!! -KatherinetheQueen I wish they would have shown off the purple beneath it is gorgeous. It is the only highlight of a horrible dress, and i ahe both the french hood and the cap. But i think the cap would have looked nice on Catherine Brandon. latristessadurera I'm not that keen on the overcoat, but I like the dress underneath, the purple is so rich and sits her. I'm not keen on the ruffle at all though. I like her little hat and I adore her french hood. - TheFreeSpirit-X This dress is lovely. I like the ruff and the puffs on the sleeves.But I am suprised this is in here. It should be in an Elizabethan film. Lady History. I don't like the overcoat, the colour is hideous. But the purple beneath is beautiful. I don't think the ruffled collar suits her or the dress either and i hate the big puffball sleeves. amore_angel I'm surprised this dress (spesh with the french hood) hasn't got any comments yet as I think it really is GORGEOUS! I could see the real anne boleyn wearing something like this :) - AnneBoleynFan74 This is magnificent! the pattern on the outside jacket is beautiful as is the pairing of the light purple underdress. I love the slightly puffy sleeves that add a nice detail to the plain long sleeves. ~Dakkietudor Hate the colour, hate the puff on the sleeves. Hate the embroidery which is keeping the fabric together on the overdress and the hat doesn't suit her head shape. mary_bess_edward Jeeze, I hated everything about this outfit in both scenes. There is just nothing appealing about it to me.-Anne'sCurls I think it looks better with the French hood instead of the little feathered hat in the first pic. But the bronze color doesn't look as good on her as the rich brown of the dress just above this one. This dress looks pretty authentic. Antoinette2 This gown is authentic, for Elizabeth, not for Anne. Look at the sleeves in this one and the one above, the sleeves in the one above is more authentic. She suits the rich red though. I don't know who would have let her get away with this! Not even her uncle, mother or father would have let her get away with this, the ones who wanted Anne to intrigue the king! Grace_B Seriosly, what the hell is this?! Anne was a woman of class, sophistication and was a trend setter. This dress just makes her look like a hooker. The slit in the bodice looks silly and would be considered innappropriate for that time. I don't like the detail going down the dress either and I don't particularly like the overcoat. I do love the coronet she's wearing the promotional shoot and the wreath is fabulous, but this isn't a good dress at all. -KatherinetheQueen It is a beautiful colour and might have been a beautiful outfit if it wasn't so exposing and had sleeves. She looks like a tart. The wreath in her hair is a nice addition though and goes wonderful with the darker overcoat. latristessadurera I love the colour, and the overcoat. I think this dress would be really nice if it wasn't for that ridiculous slit in the bodice. - TheFreeSpirit-X Oh My God! The slit in the bodice looks REDICULOUS. This screams Henry's *****, not future queen of England. Like the colour. Lady History. I hate the slit down the bodice, just looks slutty and doesn't go with her queenly look or the Christmas spirit. I don't like the overcoat but without it she looks ridiculous. She looks less less regal and more medieval porn star. amore_angel I hate this dress. First why is there so much of her breast showing? Not only is it inaccurate but it's freakin' Christmas! She should be dressing like a queen and she looks like the king's mistress. But the thing I like the least about it is that it makes her look frumpy and does nothing for her figure. The one good thing I can say about it is the colors are satisfactory. -Anne'sCurls well, i definitely am obsessed with the picture below even if it doesn't fit in the second season. (my opinion.) she does look like henry's mistress. but the colours of this dress are stunning. and the headpiece is just so beautiful. i think the red goes great with her dark hair.! still, would have been better for first season.. or something. -yviilovelorn The split in the bodice would have been considered inappropriate and too revealing for the times. All in all, something Anne would wear if it had Tudor bell sleeves. Charlie-Beth-Hayden I like this dress a lot, the colors are fantastic. I highly doubt Henry would have let Anne wear a dress like this though, since he was known to be possessive of her and that would make men stare. The lighter colour isn't her colour, due to her skin tone and complexion. But I love this gown, no matter what! It is adorable! Grace_B This dress would be more authentic for Elizabeth, due to the sleeves. The colour is lush and so is the embroidery on the bodice. I really like this dress, but it isn't accurate. -KatherinetheQueen The sleeves are awful as is the bodice, and the pale colour doesn't really suit her. latristessadurera I adore this dress. The colour makes her look very sweet and innocent and I actually like the sleeves and the bodice. I also like both of her headpieces. - TheFreeSpirit-X This dress is too plain and I hate the slits in the sleeves. Lady History. A very bland dress that makes her look very bland herself. Hate the split sleeve. It may have loooked better if they had given her some coloured jewels to wear but instead they chose pearls. Boring! amore_angel A beautiful dress and Natalie looks gorgeous with minimal jewellery and her hair down. It all works. - offwithherhead This dress is one of my favorites for season two. Natalie looks absolutely gorgeous in simple gowns like this. Makes me wish I could have been in the Tudor era. But... correct me if I'm wrong. The first picture where it shows Anne from the side view--doesn't she look like she's pregnant in 2.2? But maybe it's the side view. But overall, love this gown.- QueenEmy191989 LOVE THIS GOWN. She looks like a very sexy queen. A bit naughty and a little bit nice. Antoinette2 Due to the sleeves this gown would be worn by Elizabeth, it also needs a shift peeking through the sleeves to be authentic. Anne at the water feature    | This is not a tudor dress, I think. At least not for this period! It isn't Anne's thing, she wouldn't have worn this, even if it was a dress suited to these times. Anne suits the red, she might have got away with it if there was more dark colours but it's mostly yellow. The bodice is strange, with a weird pattern. Everything about this gown is weird! Grace_B Hmm, I'm not a fan of this dress and it isn't very flattering. The jacket kind of style is more like something Mary would have worn. It's also great to see her wearing a French hood and the skirt is quite nice, but I hate the bodice. -KatherinetheQueen Its not very flattering and she looks huge in it. The bodice is hideous, but the bits of red make it quite charming to look at. I think its one of those dresses that looks good far away but up close is a big, fat mess. latristessadurera Love the french hood and the skirt. Not so keen on the rest of the dress, especially the bodice. I do quite like the random red bits though. - TheFreeSpirit-X I like the red inside collar, but not much else. Lady History. I like like the collar, its beautiful but thats the only thing i like. The bodice looks like its had a doilie glued on to it and the skirt makes her look very wide hipped and fat, not the dress but her actual body. I also dislike the red pattern on the skirt. amore_angel Another favorite. It all fits perfectly with each other. You couldn't not have every piece of it otherwise the outfit wouldn't work. Another one I want. - Lil_Angel0999 I love this costume! For some reason it is one of my favorites. Did anyone else notice that in the scene where Anne is wearing this costume (but with a crown instead of French hood) while eating dinner with Henry that the crown is actually the same one Princess Mary wore at the Field of Cloth of Gold? -AnneBoleyn87 This is simple but beautiful. It fits so well for what is going on in the scene. It's like Anne's downtime but she still has to look good if only for herself. I am in love with the bodice and I have no problem with the kind that smash her breasts down-Anne'sCurls I really like this, especially the headpiece. The cut and coloring fit Natalie very well. Very pretty. She is in full flower. A queen, and new mother. And tragedy's waiting in the wings. Antoinette2 This would be something Mary would wear due to the neckline only with Tudor bell sleeves.       | It may not be a fantastic gown but due to the dark colour Natalie really suites it and Anne may have looked quite good in this. I love it myself, actually! Grace_B I agree with latristessadurera, this isn't a great gown. It does have a certain charm to it, I mean it suits Natalie and the colours used have huge potential but it just doesn't work for me. It could be something that Anne would have worn though. The jewellery and coronet are amazing. -KatherinetheQueen The colours don't go well together and it looks quite tacky to be honest. The bodice is also mismatched from with the sleeves. latristessadurera This dress would be nice if it wasn't for the OTT necklace. I like the sleeves. - TheFreeSpirit-X The bright colours suit Anne even though it hurts a bit on the eye. Princess Mary wears this in season 4 I think. Lady History. It looks like it was a gold dress and she's spilt stuff down herself, its horrble! I like the cut and fitting but the colour just makes me hate it, especially with that chunky necklace. amore_angel Very rich colors, like a queen- Padri 81 Another favourite for me, everything just works so well together and makes her look every inch the queen! I also love this with the red cloak over the top too. - AnneBoleynFan74 I absolutely love this gown! the pattern is beautiful and I love how the sleeves have that triangular drop but there is still a long sleeve under it. the colors are gorgeous as well. ~Dakkietudor It's a bit garish. I don't like the colours together it looks like my Christmas table cloth after we've eaten and spilt wine all over it. I don't think the sleeves go with the rest of the dress for some reason. mary_bess_edward It seems a little busy to me, too. The elaborate jewels are competing with the elaborate material of the dress. I would have liked to see this with a simpler necklace or no necklace at all. Oppulent and grand. Anne's arrest and imprisonment -2.9 & 2.10       | I love this dress. It is plain, yes, but I love it! The style is lovely, the skirt goes well with the bodice and sleeves. I love the tiara too! And the hooded cloak is lovely, I adore it! Grace_B This dress is great, the only problem is that it's too plain. The neckline should be adorned with jewels. Apart from that, it's perfect. However, I really can't stand the lacy bits she wore on her neck in the first three photos. The cloak is fabulous and I love the pattern on the sleeves and underskirt. -KatherinetheQueen I adore the underskirt, the pattern is gorgeous. The rest of the dress is a bit plain. The colour of the cloak is magnificent, i want it so bad. It's a pity she only got to show it off going into the Tower. latristessadurera Everything about this outfit makes me adore it. I love the skirt and how it splits to reveal that beautiful underskirt. The long bell sleeves are so amazing. And her cloak is absolutely gorgeous, her tiara is also really pretty. She looks so regal. - TheFreeSpirit-X Love the cloak. The colour is too dark, but given the scenes this appears in I suppose its ok. The bodice should have had some jewels on though. Lady History. The cloak is beautiful, the blue is so rich and makes her looks regal. The dress is simple but elegant which is fitting for the circumstances. I love the skirt and flared sleeves. amore_angel Even though this time in the Season was so sad for me I was happy to be able to draw a little comfort from the fact that Anne/Natalie still looked beautiful and there was no way anyone could say Henry discarded her because she was aging or her beauty had faded. The cloak and crown she is wearing is particularly wonderful as she looks so regal and it shows everyone that she is a real Queen. - QueenAnneBoleyn Anne was always beautiful. She was also always dressed to impress. I love this black gown she is shown sewing in. She looks like a true Queen. The cloak, especially in picture two is one of my favorites. The crown, the hood, she doesn't look like she's under arrest at all. So sad, but so beautiful. -GoldenAged.ER I love this cape...it is gorgeous. Although I don't feel black is a good color for Natalie, the lighting of this scene brings out her beauty. - offwithherhead Oh my God! This dress and the cloak are beautiful. Even when she is dressed down in the tower it is still beautiful. I wonder if she picked that outfit out specifically so she could look like a royal even while being arrested. The color is wonderful as is the cloak.-Anne'sCurls Just too add something else, I wasn't under the impression this gown was black. It looked like a green/blue combination to me that kind of matched her cloak-Anne'sCurls Beautiful! Very regal. She looks absolutely, heart-breakingly beautiful. And with the hood of the cape up, she looks like a little girl, a bit lost. It really tugs at your heart. This would definitely be what Anne would wear during her inprisonment. | Anne's Execution Episode 2.10       | I agree that this is one of Anne's best gowns! It is lovely. This is 100% Tudor and just perfect! Anne suits it too. Okay, there is the V bodice which KatherinetheQueen mentions. But it is fantastic and I adore it! Grace_B This is, without a doubt, one of her best gowns. I'm not sure if that colour was used at the time, the V-shaped bodice is innaccurate and Anne actually wore black to her execution. You can definately tell that it's inspired from the portrait of Anne herself by the decoration on the neckline. -KatherinetheQueen I like the colour of the bodice but it's too simple even with the pearls. The fur sleeves and the lilac undersleeves are very pretty and make the outdit. I hate the skirt however and also hate the cap. I appreciate its meant to be more functional than fashionable but the top of it really is hideous. And the red cloak, whilst pretty, doesn't really go with the blue and pale look off the outfit beneath, latristessadurera I love everything about this gown; the beading on the neckline, the sleeves and the way the skirt opens to reveal the patterned underskirt. [People shouldn't be complaining about the cap btw, it's not supposed to look nice. It's only there to keep her hair from getting in the way of the sword.] - TheFreeSpirit-X This is a lovely dress to finish Anne in. The colour, sleeves, detail and fit are wonderful. Lady History. The cap is horrible especially in the second picture, whoever said it looks like a school swimming cap was right. Maybe it would be better if it was grey too? I do like the dress though, pity its her death dress. I love the pearls. I'm not loving the cloak though. A dark colour would have been better like blue or perhaps even black. amore_angel This is one of my favourite Anne gowns from the series; it's really beautiful. But I think the real Anne wore black to her execution? Well, either way, this dress is still stunning. The only thing that ruins it is the pointed bodice (should be straight across for this period). - Shadow_in_the_Sun This dress is actually pretty close to what Anne wore to her execution. Her dress was grey damask and opened over a red petticoat- so they ALMOST have it right. -annethequene This is a favorite of mine. The dress is so simple yet elegant.- AB_Fan07 I hate this scene soooo much that it is impossible for me to say that the dress is a favourite of mine. I love how she still looks like a Queen even after all the accusations and at the hour of her death. And still beautiful! - QueenAnneBoleyn The gown is nice but i'm not too sure about the lilac part of the sleeve. Hate the white cap it looks like those awful school swimming caps. Don't like the cloak with the outfit either though i suppose she was going with comfort over fashion This is a favorite as well. Too bad they used it for the execution part. It really would have been nice earlier in the Series. Yes, I agree, I do believe what the real Anne wore to her execution was darker, basically the same design though, simple. Well, at least she went out with style. Long live the Queen! -GoldenAged.ER yddib I love this dress. It's much how I imagine Anne's real dress was for her execution. It is beautiful in its simplicity. I love this dress, but not the scene. The dress is simple, but elegant. - offwithherhead Purple the color of royalty, even while dying she still looks the part. This is not as nice of a dress as the one she is taken to the tower in but it is still beautiful. Out of all the dresses I've seen Anne executed in, this is the best. -Anne'sCurls According to historical accounts Anne wore a dark grey gown with crimson petticoats. With most Tudor dresses at least part of the petticoat showed and with crimson being the color of martyrs religiously, one wonders if she were making a statement. Also she wore a crimson velvet cape with ermine trim, a sign of her nobility. She looked and acted every inch the Queen she was. Lady Phyre Lady Phyre, your comments agree with what I have read about Anne's apparel for her execution. The dress is my favorite. This whole episode makes me cry from beginning to end. So very sad. Antoinette2. She went out with style, that's for sure. -automaticeyes This must be one of Anne's most beautiful dresses she wore throughout Season 1 & 2. The purple gown and the crimson red velvet cape is basically telling you that even though she's going to die, she wants to die well-suited and as their beautiful queen of England. -Tudorgirl This dress is simple (for Anne) but gorgeous. I love the deep square neckline; it's very flattering. I also like the simple decoration of the neckline, the patterned underdress and the furred sleeves. I don't think the red cloak goes with this very well, though. It's a bit overpowering for the dress underneath. This would definitely be what Anne wore to her execution, only the cloak should have an ermine mantle for it to be accurate. Charlie-Beth-Hayden This is another favorite of mine and Anne looks every inch the queen when she dies.     | I couldn't see the real Anne wearing it, but Natalie really suits it! It works in this, but wouldn't in reality. This isn't perfect for the time however. Very few women can pull it off and she is not one of them. The colour itself is lovely but it just doesn't work. I agree with amore that it would have looked better in a paler colour.   | I love this and I like the low open collar actually. She looks very dark, but it would be good and comfy because she is pregnant and her baby bump is big now and she'll have needed a loose dress. This really just looks like something Anne wore in life but they dyed it black. Again there is nothing wrong with it, I just wasn't that impressed.
