But as someone above said, i think he did look out for Jane. He was upset by her death and looked concerned for her when Henry threatened her. He was just a bit of a pimp.

Henry	King Henry VIII.	You just have to love him, despite his evil character/plans/mind. And even I as a man find him rather handsome.
Kate	QueenOfChelsea	He's fascinating, in my opinion. Something about the reserved ones... As Francis Bryan says in season 3, he can't get a read on Edward's motives or his agenda, and I love characters like that. Since I write fanfic, I also have to say that this makes him fun to write, another reason I like him. Historically, he seems to have been overall a decent guy who had good intentions when he was Lord Protector. And of course, Max Brown is hot, but... Yeah.
