Actor Bio:
Steve's favourite theatre roles have included Gerry in Edward Albee's The Zoo Story (Beweley's Café Theatre), The Earl of Kent in King Lear (Samuel Beckett Centre) and Michael in Vaclav Havel's The Unveiling (Dublin Theatre Fringe). He has also played the part of 'The Party' in Mariano Pensotti's experimental Theatre Installation La Marea (Bedrock) for The Dublin Theatre Festival, and JCB in Denis Byrne's The Mobile (Andrew's Lane Studio). This year he has appeared in Mike Poblete's The New York Monologues which enjoyed an extended run (transferred to Smock Alley), a performance at 'Electric Picnic' as well as a revival for the 'Bulmers International Comedy Festival'. He's just completed two plays which ran back to back, David Mamet's Glengarry Glen Ross (The New Theatre) and Shakespeare's Richard II (Smock Alley) in which he played the part of Northumberland. His Film and television credits include The Tudors (Series 1-3), George Gently (BBC), Bachelor's Walk & Bachelor's Walk Christmas Special, Stardust, Legend, Fair City all for RTE, Shattered, Irvine Welsh's directorial debut; Nuts (short), the four part ITV drama Father & Son, The Return directed by Brian Kirk for ITV 1 and recently appeared in the two-part pilot for TV3 - The Guards. Steve is currently performing in Men of Tortuga by Jason Wells at the Focus Theatre.
