Katherine Of Aragon/Maria fans this page is here for you to say why you admire the great Queen Katherine of Aragon and the wonderfully talented actress that potrays her, Maria Doyle Kennedy.
I am such a great admirer of Katherine. She had such quiet grace and strength and was a totally devoted mother. Even in the face of loss of her husband and the disintegration of her entire family, she managed to forgive. She remained until her death beloved by the English people even though she was Spanish and the Queen that displaced her was English. Maria Doyle Kennedy played her perfectly and her portrayal will now be my favorite of all others that I have seen!. offwithherhead
I just love and admire everything about Katherine. She was a true Queen and never forgot who she was. Katherine was known for her dignity, intelligence, kindness and strength. Even when in the harshest of conditions she never gave up or gave in. She was very much loved and adored by the English people. I look up to her for the way she was able to forgive people who had mistreated her. She was such a strong person and was a great mother and wife. Henry did not deserve her. I loved Maria Doyle Kennedys potrayel of her it was the best I have ever seen. She stole every scene she was in and I look forward to seeing her in other projects.coronation.
This is one fiesty lady!I would have loved to see her shouting at Henry when he took his firt mistress - The look on his face would have been priceless!I just love Catherine she behaved with a dignity and grace even to her husband's mistresses. She stood up for her rights as the rightful Queen, a title she had waited so long in such misery to claim.Truly the Queen of Hearts, and when she was younger she was so beautiful, and she was always so intellignet - even Erasmus and Saint Thomas More spoke of their admiration for her beauty and her mind! There is so much more I could say about the woman who has been my herione ever since I was a little girl, but I really think there is not enough room. hohumpigsbum
Katherine of Aragon was such an amazing, strong, loving, loyal, optimistic, and virtuous Queen. She cared so much for the welfare of the English people. While Henry had affairs, she looked away and forgave him for his mistakes, but never became a doormat. She wasn't afraid to protest Henry's wanting to divorce her, and that took so much courage. Because of her loving, forgiving, and strength, it is why this beautiful woman deserves to be called the "Queen of Hearts." Maria Doyle Kennedy did such an amazing job with portraying Katherine, and I am so proud of her! hrm_elizabeth
Catalina the Infanta a beautiful soul set to be the beautiful Katherine of Aragon Queen of England. From a young age she was an observational learner. Observing people, things, actions of those around her. Her mother Queen Isabella of Castile showing her great example of a commitment to her strong faith. Her mother would often lead her men in war. When The Infanta arrived in her new Country how scary that must have been. But as she observed she learned and the English people loved her. Coming to England she changed the spelling of her name to K the english version. She had the strongest faith and was a women of the utmost faith. She looked to God for everything. And I believe that even during the hardest of times as sad or lonely as she may have been she was with God always. She was married to the King for 24 years and had turned an eye to his affairs. So when Anne Boleyn came into his life I dont believe the Queen thought much more than her to be another mistress. She stayed true to the beautiful Queen she was. She died and in the eyes of the English people died the Queen of England, the Queen of hearts. A recent post really made me think of this she was the one Queen who put God first, then her family and her Country. She did not waiver. She did not change a religion to suit a need she had. If she had a need she professed her needs to God. God Bless this Beautiful Queen. I will think and have comfort that she had the best years of Henrys life. Born to be a Queen Died a Queen. And Loved by many, even still. I I Loved MDK as KOA she played the part wonderfully. I look forward to seeing her in future worl. funrod

She is a woman to be admired for her strenght, determination and devotion to those she loved. She was so strong and never gave up for her rights, and she fought her best to hold on to her position as queen of England, which she was raised to become. And she loved her husband with all her heart, even when he demanded a devorce and she was dragged through such turmoil. She still loved him when she died and wished to see him one last time before she died. She was also a devoted mother who loved her daughter, and the tragedy is that she never got to see her beloved Mary even at her deathbed. She was like a lioness, proud and strong in all ways.
