KEY ACHIEVEMENTS: PERSONAL QUALITIES: - Kindness - Devoted - Caring - Faithful to her beliefs GLOBAL IMPACT: Her rule scared. She started her reign loved, she ended it hated. The burning and its cruelty ( it is said that a pregnant woman was burnt, the pain made her baby come to the world and he/she was put right away in the fire as well.) shocked England and certainly Europe. Protestants in England rapidly became martyres and it lead the realm to an almost civil war, people being split into two: Catholics against Protestants. This certainly explained why her step-sister, Elizabeth, became so loved by her people and her coronation seen as a true relief for the country. LEGACY: Mary will be known forever as Bloody Mary, the most cruel queen England known, though the surname is unappropriate.
