Pope Paul III's second illegitimate son was known for his cruelty, decadence, and homosexual acts of violence against men. He married Charles V's illegimate daughter, Margaret of Austria, but was assassinated in 1547 by a faction of nobles supported by Charles V who wanted to unite Parma and
Piacenza into the Duchy of Milan. He is the ancestor of the Dukes of Parma.

Roman Inquisition
The Roman Inquisition was established by Pope Paul III in 1542. It was one of the most infamous inquisitions because of it's decisions, and political and religious influence. It fought all proponents of non-Catholic views, especially Calvinists and Lutherans.
