Amy theothertudorgirl-Team Leader Catherine was a fantastic Queen Consort and made a lasting impression on a Young Elizabeth. She brought a troubled family together and was full of Grace and Dignity. And after taking a quiz on facebook, I am told the Queen I am most like is Cate, which is an honour.
Annette Neta07-Team Leader my first equal fav Queen of Henry absolutely fell in love with her after reading "Six wives" by Antonia Fraser. Catherine Was such a wonderful and loving Person.
Julia LadyLizzy Catherine became a mother to Henry's children and also took little Lady Jane Grey under her wing. She encouraged their interest in learning, published books in her own right and was clever enough to talk herself out of danger. She combines loving care with a sharp wit.
Sara queen_elizabeth_1533 I love Catherine Parr, she is one of my favorites, and I will gladly give her my support!
Jessica gapeachjessica She was intelligent, and a wonderful stepmother to Edward, Mary, and Elizabeth. She helped to restore Mary and Elizabeth to the succession.
Monica princeedwardfan I belive she was an intelligent woman and a kind stepmother to prince Edward and princess Elizabeth (Mary was a young adult and she had no need for motherly affection unlike her brother and sister)
Aislinn AislinnBeaudry Dear Katherine Parr. A sweet lady, a brilliant intellectual, and one of the greatest (and most influential) stepmothers in history.
A spirit of loving kindness and reconciliation. A rare and beautiful woman, never to be forgotten!
Anne-Laure Lady-Anne I really look forward to see more of her! She seems to be sympathic in every kinds of way and yet, she's always a shadow behind a sick and painful dying-Henry... She has all of my support!^^
Gloria Eternity123 She was a kind woman; who looked after her step children. She helped mould Elizabeth into the great Queen she was. She is a very interesting consort and sometimes forgotten as just the one who "survived". I love her passion and dedication. Hopefully her story will be played out well on the Tudors. Go Parrrr!

TheSecondWife A kind, intelligent, and brave woman who made the best out of what she had. I respect her greatly :)
Jessica Jes89 Sweet and kind lady that above all the things was comprensive and too inteligent.Love the way she cared for Mary,Elizabeth and Edward.
Kelly booklvr44 Catherine Parr was a woman who was truly ahead of her time. She was educated and opinionated. She also played a major role in the Reformation and expressed her opinions in spite of Henry's disdain for her radicalized religious views.
Trisha JRMSLADY09 She was a woman ahead of the times ,and was not afraid to express her views no matter what the subject whoever may have found it distasteful. I also applaud her for taking on the role of loving step-mother she did something that she didn't have to but did with grace and dignity.
Becky HistoricQueen3 I think she was a great queen who cared for her stepchildren lovingly until her death, she was also a good match for henry, who in his old age, was very close to being outwitted and outmatched by catherine parr!!!
Lex Anne Isabella_of_Castille Catherine was a passionate, warm-hearted, attractive, and devout author and intellectual. Anyone who was able to talk Henry out of burning her at the stake for heresy must have possessed tremendous courage and wit! She had a profound sense of duty but was unafraid to pursue her own happiness - albeit quietly. She was a dream stepmother to Henry's traumatized children and, by carefully hand-picking their tutors, probably had more to do with both Edward's and Elizabeth's ultimate affinity for Protestantism than anyone else.
Henry KingHenryVIII -looks up at what is written above- Exactly my words! There is nothing more to add except, that I adored her for loving me the way I am and caring so much for me when I was ill and especially when I was bound to the bed. Too good for me.
H. Lady.In.Red Catherine Parr is to me the most fascinating of all the 6 wives of Henry VII. It's a tragedy that so little is known of her and how solemn her story is told. She was an intellect beyond that of Anne Boleyn, who was a philosopher and a woman with an opinion. She had such courage and bravado to voice her views at a time when women were thought of as to be seen and not heard. She risked her own life to defend Anne Askew when the martyr was being ridiculed. Bound by duty she sacrificed her mind, body and soul in order to further her family and please her King. Having to endure Henry when he was at his most unstable and tyrannical of states. Able to outwit her Catholic enemies and persuade Henry to let her live. The man who forced her apart from her one true love Thomas Seymour. It was her one chance to finally be able to decide her fate and choose who she wanted to marry. To endure the terror of the Pilgrimage of Grace where she was held captive and her husband was forced to house the rebels. The unwavering courage she had to to not have to just to live through that but her husband being arrested and her whole livelihood at stake. To help restore Elizabeth to favour and bring all the Tudor children together. To welcome Anne of Cleves as part of the family( they were said to be like sisters.) To rule by herself, as Regent, the first woman in a couple hundred years. And to inspire her step daughter that is was possible for a woman to rule is truly amazing. Her reign was short, as was her happiness but she left an everlasting impression. (Sorry for rambling.)

Pookiesmama My ABSOLUTE FAVORITE of Henry's queens! She was a perfect queen. If the truth were known I do believe that she was also henry's favorite. She helped Henry and the children so very much. Do not look at her as only Henry's nurse/wife She had a large collection of 'nighties' she wore for Henry. henry also mentioned in his will about possible children from her. She was super smart. She also wanted to be regent for Edward and took legal advice on the matter of Edward's regent. it was inconclusive. it is possible that she married Seymour so quickly because she hoped together they could become joint regents to Edward. it is also possible that Henry had named her as regent for Edward but changed his mind after the (Anne Askew) incidents. In 1537 during the 'Pilgrimage of Grace' she was held hostage by an angry mob near her home. Her and her husband, Latimer were coerced into joining the 'cause' They escaped the King's wrath. Also it is rumored that Katherine and her husband was right in the middle of the "Anne Boleyn Scandal" and came close to being arrested and they left court...quick! So in reality Katherine could have been almost arrested by Henry at least 3 times ? She was great and because of her Elizabeth was a great queen! Too bad she and Henry had not met years earlier they could have had many children...or not since she did die after her first child was born....

I did not know much about Katherine Parr...but after reading more on her, she is one of my top fav wives...so pious and a woman ahead of her time for sure.
Annabelle Annabelle_Jane I think that Joely is a good actress and i believe that Queen Catherine was a good Queen. I like her. She is one of my favourites Queens
Kate QueenOfChelsea I've always loved Katherine Parr. She was the first Queen I 'met', so to speak, as my interest in the Tudors began at age nine when I read The Royal Diaries novel Elizabeth: Red Rose of the House of Tudor. It was set during the Kate Parr era, and it gave me an immediate soft spot for her. Also, she was intellectual and was a published author in a time when women were considered all but brainless. Not to mention, she fully reconciled Henry with his daughters and encouraged Henry to return Mary and Elizabeth to the succession. Henry even trusted her to be Regent - the only wife besides Katherine of Aragon to be given such a responsibility. But the most impressive thing she did, I think, was to convince Henry that she was innocent of the charges against her. None of Henry's other wives managed to change his mind once he'd set himself against them, and so it's for her quick thinking and sensible nature that I most admire her. Now if only she had better taste in men... What was she thinking with that Seymour jerk?
Lady Meg GoldenAged.ER She is supposedly a 1st cousin of mine through my great grandmother 15 times removed, Elizabeth FitzHugh. I have not read much into her history, but am very intrigued now that I have found out that she is a family member. Her portrayal on The Tudors has made me want to read more about her. To me, she was a mix of Anne Boleyn and Jane Seymour; as Anne Boleyn in her cause for the reformation she spoke her mind, but knew when it was too much. No matter what she kept her beliefs but kept her head by giving Henry the notion that his beliefs were hers and that she was only a woman. She reminded me of Jane Seymour in that way as well, not afraid to speak up, but smart enough to realize when it was enough; and in her way of trying to bring Henry's family back together. It's too bad Henry didn't find her sooner.
Chelsea MaryBoleynfan Catherine Parr is my third favourite Queen after Katharine of Aragon and Jane Seymour. She brought Henry and Mary closer together and really united the family for the first time. She also made sure that Mary was reinstated in the sucession, which I look forward to seeing this season! Despite the differences in religion Catherine Parr (who was named after KOA) managed to become close friends with her stepdaughter, Princess Mary.

I think Catherine was a kind Queen who was equally nice to all her step children. I feel for her for she never set out to marry Henry and was in love with Thomas however she conducted herself with dignity and made the best of her situation. Joely is potraying her wonderfully I am looking forward to seeing more of her in the series.

In an era which produced many remarkable women, Katherine Parr inparticular stands out. She was intelligent, and in an era when women were discouraged from showing such assets; Katherine published her own books and translations. She was also able to remain calm and composed under extreme duress.
Overall, a brave and intelligent woman.
Emilyforgetful_blondeI absolutely admire Katherine Parr. I think at times she is the wife I most aspire to be like. Her kindness, respect and thoughtfulness all esteem her as the magnificent woman she was. These qualities plus her intelligence is why she is one of my favorites of the 6 wives. =)
