King Edward III | 1312-1377 Reigned from 1327 King of England. Led a coup against his mother and her lover, and became the legitimate ruler of England. Defeated the Scots and began the Hundred Years War. He was also the quintessential Medieval chivalric King, creating the 'Order of the Garter'. | |
Henry "Hotspur" Percy | 1364/66-1403 Rebelled against King Henry IV and was slain on the battlefield, and immortalised by William Shakespeare in Henry IV, Part 1. |

Edward Seymour | 1506-1552 Rose to power with his sister's marriage to King Henry. Became Duke of Somerset and was Lord Protector of England during his nephew's reign. He was later exectued for treason. | |
Thomas Seymour | 1508-1549 Rose to power with his sister's marriage to the King. Became Baron of Sudley and Lord High Admiral. Tried to seduce the teenage Princess Elizabeth and was executed for treason when he tried to kidnap the young King Edward VI. | |
Elizabeth Seymour | 1511-1563 Chief lady-in-waiting to her sister, Queen Jane,and was also a prominant member of court through the rest of Henry's wives, serving the latter wives. Married Thomas Cromwell's son, Gregory. |

Georgiana Cavendish, Duchess of Devonshire | 1757-1806 An English beauty and Socialite who was particularly popular during the latter part of eighteenth century. She was also a political campaigner for the Whigs at a time when women didn't mix with politics. | |
Lady Diana Spencer, Princess of Wales | 1961-1997 The first wife of HRH Prince Charles of Wales. Known as the 'Princess of Wales' as well as the 'People's Princess', she was greatly involved in charity work and brought awareness to AIDS and landmines. | |
HRH Princes William and Henry | William (1982) Harry (1984) The sons of HRH Prince Charles of Wales, and grandsons of HRH Queen Elizabeth II. They are second and third in line to throne of England respectively. |
