New Anne Boleyn Play to Debut at Shakespeare's Globe

 Anne Boleyn may have exited The Tudors, but Shakespeare's Globe is bringing her back to life again this summer according to the Globe's website. In Howard Brenton's "Anne Boleyn," Anne comes across neither weak nor witchy:
"Witty and confident in her sexuality, she takes on the vicious world of Tudor Court politics. She is in love with Henry but also in love with the most dangerous ideas of her day. Conspiring with the exiled William Tyndale, the great translator of the Bible who was to be burnt as a heretic, Anne plots to make England Protestant, forever."
Tickets go on sale on February 15. If any superfans have a chance to go, please keep us posted!

Irish Film And Television Awards Nominations

 The nominations for the 7th Annual Irish Film And Television Awards have been released and Jonathan is among the nominees! Overall the Tudors did quite well in the nominations, here are the awards they are up for:
Ciaran Donnelly – Best Director
Jonathan Rhys Meyers – Actor in a Lead Role
Sarah Bolger – Actress in a Supporting Role
Joan Bergin – Costume Design
Sharon Doyle & Dee Corcoran – Makeup and hair

Friday, April 2, after Numb3rs finishes its season. The latest effort from
Jerry Bruckheimer TV stars Jeremy Northam("The Tudors," "Gosford
Park") as the head of a team of surgeons at a South Florida hospital.
The cast also includes Lana Parrilla ("24," "Swingtown"), Omar Gooding
("Barbershop"), Elisabeth Harnois ("Point Pleasant") and Mike Vogel
("Cloverfield")."

| | New Trailer for Meyers "From Paris With Love"

Though we have to wait until April for season 4 of the Tudors, February 5th with deliver a bit of a Rhys Meyers fix with the release of Pierre Morel's action thriller "From Paris With Love".
Meyers plays a low ranking US intelligence officer who is forced to team up with an over-the-top US agent (John Travolta) who looks more like a pro-wrestler than a law official and spends most of the trailer doing kung-fu, shooting rocket launchers and driving over the speed limit (while not swearing and firing machine guns). Meyers spends half the trailer hugging a Ming vase...
If you can get past Travolta's shaved head and jazz beard, give this one a look.
