I don't know about the rest of you but I really did not like the acting Season 2 Jane did. I absolutly loved Annabelle Wallis and Jane in Season 3. She was great. She played the role so beautifully her picture should be up there not Season 2 Jane. Long live Season 3 Jane!!

there is no denying jane seymour was NO beauty and the actress anita who plays her is small, dainty and very attractive, Jane in my opinion was the ugliest of all his wives and the worst. i say this because i am biased and also fond of anne boleyn and catherine howard and parr, catherine parr for her involvment in elizabeths life and protestant support.
Jane was a doormat but little is known as to whether she loved the king, i highly doubt she did, but who would desire her? henry may have also liked the fact she was not a beauty therefore would not attract male company as Anne did supposedly, even though anne was not considered beautiful in her day. Jane was not thin, alluring or in the least pretty, she appears overweight and plain in the portrait. others i have seen do her no justice either.

I have seen and read a few accounts of how Jane responded to becoming queen. In The Six Wives of Henry VIII she was appalled about what happened to Anne and felt guilty about it because she didnt know it was going on at the time. In The Tudors they make it seem that she knows she is going to be executed and doesn't really give a damn about it. How do you think Jane might have reacted to it?

Was the dog real or was it a symbolism thing? . I am asking in because in my art history class my professor said a dog in paintings back then represented fidelity. We were not talking about the Jane Seymour painting but it made me think of it.

look what i found about them:
in linda's site "The story goes that Mary entered, curtsied, then walked closer to the royal pair, curtsied again and asked her father's blessing. Henry took her up by the hand and said to the assembled crowd, "Some of you were desirous that I should put this jewel to death." "That had been great pity," said Jane, "to have have lost your chiefest jewel of England." in a brazilian site about Mary I: "the fate was not kind to the royal family: the consequences: Jane died in childbirth on the 24th of that month. Her stepdaughter was "frantic so much sadness," and was the commander of the wake at the request of the king. When she was buried, Mary followed in front of the procession in a black horse and clothes the same color, giving alms. She was very rich. Besides having received the legacy of her mother, Mary was a major beneficiary in the will of Jane: won many brooches, earrings, dresses embroidered with gold, precious stones, fine perfume, not to mention cash...

How long did the court officially mourn for Jane? She died in late October and was wondering if it extended through to Christmas and perhaps the new year? What a miserable Christmas that would have been! Also, how long was her funeral and i mean this starting from when she was laid out in state to when she was actually buried.

I don't know if this has been discuss before, but one wonders if Jane Seymour had not given birth to a son, but had another daughter, then like Katherine and Anne just had miscarriages, what method Henry would have used to get rid of her? send her away or to a nunnery or used some form of trump up charges to have her and her family beheaded for treason? me i believe her will have either send her away or to a nunnery

Do you think that if Jane had lived, she and Henry would have had more children? Or do you think that it was luck that Edward was a boy, and that Jane would have had miscarriage after miscarriage?

Ok, so Jane is obsessed with Quail eggs, is that just her sign of pregnancy? Do they taste just like regular eggs or what? Just weird I thought.

Ok so, Jane died in episode 4, Annabelle said Jane was in 5 episodes, and imdb is listing Annabelle as Jane up to Episode 7, the next to last episode of the season.
I'm sooooo confused!! Does anyone have any idea what is going on? I'm thinking either there are going to be many flashbacks of Jane or Henry is going to be delusional and start to see Jane. Any thoughts?

Seeing as how we all know it is inevitable, how do you think Henry will handle Jane's death in Season 3? Obviously, he deprived himself of losing his previous wives while still married to them (by declaring both invalid), so how will he take it when his "first" legal wife dies?

Do you believe anything will be mentioned about John Seymour's scandalous affair with his son Edward's wife in Season 3? I for one, would love it if they would. Jane hasn't been portrayed in a manner in Season 2 that would suggest she will be a wild tigress once Henry gets her in his bed, so I thought the whole Seymour scandal could spice things up a bit. Granted, the affair happened before Jane married Henry historically (that's the reason the Seymour family had not married Jane earlier on- there was talks of betrothing her before the scandal erupted), but it could be interesting. It would at least be interesting if they would mention it happened, so some tension of some sort would exist between John and Edward.

What concerns, worries, or regrets do you think Jane will display on her deathbed, if any? Or, in real historical life, do you think she had any? I'm not certain if there is delirium that accompanies childbed fever, but surely she must have regretted not seeing her son become king if she was enough awares. She may have even felt bad about Anne. Or maybe she was worried Henry would be too protective of Edward (or that Edward might become like his father, lol).

It is said that Henry loved Jane "best" - she was everything he wanted in a queen. But what if her child had been a girl? Or if she had given birth to daughters? Do you think that at his age and "loving her" as he did, he would have settled down and accepted that?

Jane Seymour was a Catholic, yet she married Henry in the new Church of England. According to Catholic doctrine, marriages performed in another church are sacramentally invalid. This would render their son a "bastard" in that sense. Has this subject been discussed in any writings to the knowledge of our members, or was it a point of interest at all to Henry at this time?

If Jane had lived, and, having given birth to one son, had been unsuccessful in having others (as KOA and AB sadly were), and, their son had died, what do you think Henry would have done? Historically, his behavior was straying, raging and dumping. So it is logical he would have had mistresses. Do you think he would have found an excuse to move on?

Nothing in history is written to say that she wasn't a virgin, but some doubt her purity having spent so much time in court. What are your thoughts, was she a virgin as Henry desired or not?
