Her family has been deeply touched by the affection shown to Kate from the Tudor Wiki community. Your friendship and compassion meant the world to her. MORE ABOUT ME... Well, I really love football season! There's something about guys whomping the hell out of each other that tickles my fancy. I also like watching Mens' PGA Golf and Baseball.
I joined this wiki because: I found it by accident. I was looking for a book called Threads and didn't remember the author's name. I was on Border's Books site, and somehow I ended up here.
The best word to describe me is: Actually a good sense of humor is important to me as well as tolerance.
Interests: Music, movies, and books.
Favorite movies: Anything about the Tudors, A Knight's Tale, Sci-Fi and Godzilla movies, Shogun, The Godfather series, Rocky, XMen, Good horror flicks, Disney movies and Lord Of The Rings.
Favorite TV shows: Family Guy, Ghost Whisperer, The Simpsons, Moonlight, Nova, Britcoms, CSI NY, Hell's Kitchen, Kitchen Nightmares, All Star Trek shows, Nature, Elizabeth R, Six Wives of Henry VIII and of course, The Tudors. Foxs' Animation Domination Sundays are the best.

December 21, 2009 - "It is with great sadness that I am writing to let you know my sister-in-law, Katie, has passed away. You are familiar with her posting as Elizabethtudorrose. Her death is quite unexpected and her family is grieving at her loss.
The Tudor Wiki was a very important part of Katie's life and she often wrote to me of how many friends she had made who shard her love of Tudor England. The support she received here from so many people after the death of her father in February was tremendous and meant a great deal to her.

I got to know Kate through emails now and then when we talked about her father's passing and she was always concerned about other members who were going through hard times. She made it her mission to fill out support pages. Little did we know that one day we would be doing this for her. I am very saddened at her passing especially at this time of the year. This is such tragic news, Kate was an incredibly loyal member of this forum. She replied to peoples' posts with great care and detail, and put a lot of effort into helping others who were going through difficult times. I've only known her for a short time; I first met her recently on a thread about Anne Boleyn, and the info she provided on this was amazing. I wanted to know Henry VIII's height, and she seemed to have spent a lot of time on her reply to my question, which shows she was very thoughtful and cared for others. Luckily, I added her as a friend not long before she passed away; now that she is on my friend list, I shall remember her forever. Kate, may you rest in peace, and I hope your family stay strong during this difficult time. I know she had serious health problems, as well as financial ones, and I went out of my way to send her to a DR. Kahn in Pawtucket. Her appointment was Dec 29th. She was frightened, and had never seen a specialist before. I sent her my favorite books for Christmas, The Wheel of Fortune, and she wouldn't open it until Xmas, as she said there would be nothing else under the tree for her. I made her open the books, and promised her there would be more for Christmas morning, and I quickly sent her 2 more books from my library, a beautiful Christmas runner, a handcrafted leather journal, some cashmere gloves, and a handkerchief belonging to my deceased Mother, as she would then have things for under the tree. I would greatly appreciate a picture of her. My grief over this is so heavy, as I tried so hard to help her, and she was such a spiritual person. She believed Jesus had a big birthday party in heaven, so I guess she made it. My loving regrets at having lost a friend. ~I believe I was the last person she contacted before she died. I had lost another dear woman Hyacinth, last thursday, and she made a beautiful remembrance page for her that her family really appreciated. I screamed and cried last night, and now I feel some closure, as I have contacted her sister in law, who I didn't know was a member of the wiki. She was such a huge part of this community, and I will never forget her kindness, sense of humor, and heart of gold,

| Hearing about Kate's death yesterday was a shock. Death isn't something that people think about nor do they experience it with loved ones. Although I did not have the pleasure of knowing Kate personally, I felt like I knew her nevertheless. She was a very sweet woman, who was deeply respectful of everyone. There were many times on a thread that I couldn't help thinking, "If I were ETR... I would've told this person off already." She was so patient with others and she wouldn't even blink an eye at attempting she was wrong. She is definitely someone we should look up to. I know she's somewhere good and wonderful. Perhaps she could be talking to some of the Tudors. :D

I just learned about ETR's passing & am deeply saddened by the news. I had many discussions with ETR on this wiki and always enjoyed her comments & observations.
