the block awaits the kings pleasure
for the block is part of the kings treasure its sits in the tower and waits each night for the next to grace it in sorrow and fright for there is no king or queen upon a throne who has no need for what the block can hone for henry sits but not too well and waits upon a block to tell who shall live and who shall die the axmen is the king.... on high |

i served the king in the lowland wars
and in high germany and manys a friend left behind in a grave once made for me i served the king most truly and for my pains i'm left here on the road in old england with neither food nor beer so listen all you soldiers who've served both well and true trust not in crown or country for they conspire to betray you i served the king in the lowland wars and in high germany and far better it would have been if i'd been left there-with a grave for my bravery with a grave for my bravery

of henrys wives there were eight
and of these more than a few met a tragic fate for the man with the ax was ever at hand and henrys tastes were anything but bland for his wars he did relish his enemies he'd embellish and then salt their blood with sand his friends he enjoyed but then left them with elan thinking there'd be more where they came from oh henry: you could be as nasty as fate as hard as diamonds and oftentimes late but still when i think on those who've past its henry's legacy that comes to mind or as he put it "never finish last' so its henry we remember and his series which tho in the throes has left us not in the least weary henry: voila: at war and at peace yours graces hard pressed to pacify the beast

Im loving the poems lol and i must say i have outdone myself with the cromwell poem, lol i love it
but i am glad im not the only one who has written some i hope there are more additions, this is one of my fave pages on the wiki poetry writing is my fave thing to do on this site ^_^
