Catherine Parr by Susan James

Comments:Katherine Parr was a great wife, but was also a great Queen. Many peg her as the wife that became Henry's 'nurse', but she was so much more. She continued the Reformation of England, was Queen Regent while Henry was away in France, devoted herself to bringing Lady Mary and Lady Elizabeth back into the favour of their father, and did many other important actions which influenced those who reigned after her. This book is meant for those who really want to collect information on Katherine Parr. The book is very punctual and detailed to a tee. It outlines her family's history, her parents, and even her sibling's lives. This book takes you through her life basically like a history textbook. There are wonderful pictures of the places that were important to Katherine, of portraits, and objects that belonged to Katherine. If you are looking for a good source to write a paper or just want to learn about a Queen that is extremely underrated, I highly recommend this book!
