Anne Boleyn is instantly recognisable, and yet there is but one image of her in existence, which is only barely visible due to damage. So what did she look like? What did image mean to Anne, and how did she use her image to her Advantage? Many myths have arisen surrounding Anne's appearance which have confused the reality.

Anne Boleyn is known for her scandalous relationship with Henry VIII, and because she lost her head. There have been many interpretations of her life, on the page and screen, and many have been riddled with the bias superstition that arose following her death. Anne was a deeply religious, dedicated person, who defied convention and who supported a radical and dangerous belief. Her existence created the most shocking decisions that would change the course of History forever.

Anne Boleyn was crowned Queen on 1st June 1533. There have been many accounts of the celebrations, some claiming that it was a triumphant success, and others that it was a terrific failure. Anne, who was obsessed by detail, ensured that her coronation would be as successful, if not better than her predecessors, and she certainly succeeded. The event would begin her Thousand Day rule with all the power and flamboyancy that could be found in Anne herself.

Many thanks to my dear friend <a class="external" href="http://www.youtube.com/user/littlemisssunnydale" rel="nofollow" target="_blank" title="littlemisssunnydale">littlemisssunnydale</a>, for so kindly offering her amazing image library for use in this video. Hope you enjoy!

Anne Boleyn is as well known for mothering England most recognisable and influential Monarch, as she is for failing to provide England with a Male heir. But what relationship did England most significant and controversial Queen Consorts have on her daughter and heir? Elizabeth barely spoke of her mother after she was executed, but what influence did she have on this colourful and charismatic Queen to be? My apologies for the editing.. as you can imagine fitting this into 10mins was nigh on impossible! Hope you enjoy x

HUGE shout out to <a class="external" href="http://www.youtube.com/user/littlemisssunnydale" rel="nofollow" target="_blank" title="littlemisssunnydale">littlemisssunnydale</a> once again for her invaluable collection of images... you're a darling :)
Anne Boleyn Part Five - Mary
Anne Boleyn has been blamed for the destruction of Marys childhood, and deplored for her actions against her step-child. But what were the circumstances behind the myths? Did Anne desire Marys death, did she punish her and humiliate the young and venerable Mary, and what part did Mary have to play in their tempestuous relationship? Could it be that both were merely fighting for survival against a Monarch who demanded obedience at any cost?
My thanks as always to Littlemisssunnydale for her invaluable collection of images, and general brilliance as a fellow Anne/ Mary/ anything Tudor fan xxxx

In May of 1536, following a series of unsuccessful births, Queen Anne would dramatically fall from grace, and pay the ultimate price in the process. But why did Anne fall from such a great height following her short reign, which had taken so many years to achieve?

Following Cromwells plot to eradicate Anne, she was arrested and placed in what had once been her palace, the Tower of London. Here, during her imprisonment, innocent truths were twisted by Cromwell into trumped up charges of treason. She had spent her finest hours in the Tower prior to her coronation; however the Tower was to be her final resting place, both in life and in death.

On 19th May, 1536 Queen Anne Boleyn was taken from her apartemnts and put to death between the Houses of Ordinance and the White Tower. Many untruths have been made surrounding her final hours, and I hope this to be a faithful representation based on extensive studies and eyewitness accounts. Many aspects of the visuals may be innacurate, soley because a true representation of her end has yet to be captured.
