I have recently purchased a copy of a book which compiles Cromwell's letters...I should have it in my hot little hands next week *cross fingers!...i don't think i can wait much longer* and as soon as i have it I shall add some quotes of his to this thread.

I really can not wait to read his letters...though i think it might be an emotional read, considering the timing of the last ep airing recently. so...stay tuned Crommies!

I'm so interested in what that book has to say, and if it gives any interpretation as to his last letter to Henry. i read a book a couple of years ago...I think it was "The Cardinal and the Secretary". Anyway, in the book, it says Cromwell's last letter to the king was not a plea for his life but a plea for a more merciful execution. I wrote about this in another thead just a bit ago.

Cromwell pleas for the king to be kind to his 'poor son' and his son's family. So, he knows he's going to die...no matter what. But, in the last part of that letter he pleas for "MERCY MERCY MERCY". It is not the pleas of a man begging for his life. It is merely, according to the book, simply the pleas of a doomed man asking for a more painless execution than drawing and quarter. And, as we know, Henry relented to that plea and commuted Cromwell's sentence. Eventhough it was botched, it was still a 100 times more humane than what could have happened.

Can't wait to hear more about Crom's letters. Thanks :)

*Rest in Peace, Cromwell

and

*James Frain...you are awesomeness in the flesh!

It started off crappy because I couldn't sign up for Fall Semester classes, and tomorrow I have to race over to the college and then race over to work, blah! But the day has been steadily getting better! Hopefully one of my goals that I have for this summer, I can now achieve it with this signature! So Happy!

Well.... For the longest time, I've wanted a tattoo. Since I got a job this summer, and it seems like it's going to be steady income, I've decided the time was ripe for me to get a tattoo! I want to get the Tudor rose, and either somewhere completely different on my body, or with the rose, get Cromwell's signature on me too... A little drastic.. But this is more for the actual Thomas Cromwell not for James/Cromwell; Crom is just someone I extremely admire and what not.... Wow I sound a little obsessed... =D All I can say is, this is better than a lame little heart or a tramp stamp or Tweety Bird.

I like College, but I kinda miss High School.. It was so much more easier on my brain! I can't believe it's almost been a year since I graduated! Insane!
