The Truth behind the speculation
This month we have some interesting news for Tudor lovers both for the series and the history of the period. First, Michael Hirst, creator and writer of the series was recently at the Mary Rose Museum in Portsmouth, UK to support the refurbishment of their wonderful museum and promote the exhibition of “The Tudors” courtly couture costumes which comes to an end at the end of this month. Hirst finally put an end to the speculation regarding a sequel to the “The Tudors”, saying there would be no sequels. Most of us are familiar with his two previous movies of Elizabeth I and he said, he was working on a movie of Mary, Queen of Scots who was the complete antithesis of Elizabeth. A woman who simply had to get married. He feels she really cared about those things in a more human way than Elizabeth. So that will be something we can all look forward to. He is also working on something about The Vikings and Napoleon and Josephine. To hear the interview with Michael Hirst visit : Mary Rose Museum - Interview with Michael Hirst

There are also two rather intriguing books in the works. One non-fiction byDr. Susan Bordo called “The Creation of Anne Boleyn which will examine the how the image of Anne Boleyn has been created from the ‘fragments of gossip which have become hard history’ to the books, movies and television portrayals of this fascinating Tudor woman. She has recently interviewed both Natalie Dormer and Genevieve Bujold (“Anne of a Thousand days” – 1969) and is now hoping to get more input from fans of Anne Boleyn, particularly young people under the age of 20. If you are interested in helping her with her research, you can contact one of our moderators SemperEadem who is working as a researcher for Susan. There is an insightful interview with Susan Bordo about her vision for her book at : The "On the Tudor Trail" Blog.

The second book is a work of fiction called “Le Temps Viendra: A Novel of Anne Boleyn” which I found out about from [[1]]. You can “like” the page and follow the author’s (Sarah Morris) journey.

Le temps viendra - Je anne boleyn

The title evidently comes from something Anne wrote (above) in a Book of Hours ” Le temps viendra”, “the time will come”, with Anne’s signature, “je anne Boleyn”, beneath a miniature of the Last Judgement. There is also a drawing of an astrolabe, by Anne, to symbolise time.
