To those who do not know this game...
How to play:
Answer the "Would You Rather" post ahead of yours then post your own conundrum using the format I'll model in the first one.
Rules:
- NO godmoding. Saying "Both", "Neither" or making something up is not permitted. You must choose one of the options.
- If you have multiple "Would You Rathers" wait a few turns before posting another one.
- And of course, keep the subject Tudor/History related. But the questions can be as silly or serious as you want.

In playing many of the games and reading many of the posts, it has become clear that many of us have a favorite Queen ( I know, tell you something that you didn't already know...LOL) The most "heated" exchanges seem to come when Katherine and Anne are in the mix. So, the game that I propose to you all is in the spirit of a challenge.
The game would go as follows:
1. Identify your favorite of the two Queens.
2. This is where you will have to dig deep....say one GOOD thing about the Queen who is not your favorite.
3. You may have to go deeper....say one thing about your favorite that is NOT so good
The old addage " if you can't say something good about someone, don't say anything at all" will have to apply when posting about the Queen who is not your favorite. By the same token, this will not apply to your favorite. The idea of this game is to help show that neither was perfect and neither was totally evil. Use an open mind and try to have fun. So here goes:
Favorite: Katherine of Aragon
Anne Boleyn was more generous with her alms for the poor.
Katherine of Aragon blamed others for what was clearly Henry's fault.

It is the Year of Our Lord 1522, thirteen years into the reign of His Majesty, King Henry VIII. Although his wife, Queen Catherine of Aragon, has borne him now six children, only one of them has survived beyond the first few months of life - and the Princess Mary is not the heir that Henry desires. The King grows steadily more impatient with his inability to produce an heir, the Queen grows increasingly more desperate for the Lord to give her a son, and the people of England watch the King spending money hand over fist while they are mired in dissatisfaction and disease. The decadence of the Church has lead to the spread of Lutheranism, though it is still considered grave heresy to decry Rome, but they say that these "reformers" meet in secret and praise the notion that any man, not just a man educated by the Church, can read The Bible.
As if there needed to be more fuel added to this fire, the King has now laid eyes on Anne Boleyn, the sister of his current mistress, and rumor has it that he's quite taken with the young Lady Anne.

Once pioneered by the comical geniuses The Two Ronnies, you need to give an answer, but to the previous question set. Then, set a new question.
Q1. Complete the Elizabeth I quote: "I may have the body of a weak and feeble woman, but I have the heart and stomach of a......."
Q2. What did Henry famously say that his 4th wife Anne of Cleves looked like?
Then, the next person has to give the answer to Question1 - with the answer from Question 2. Then, they set a question (Q3). The next person after them has to give the answer to Q2 above - with the answer from Question 3 and so on and so forth!

LOL well it was actually Syphillis, but too many prostitutes is the same difference! :) And in the rules of this quiz, that would have been the answer to Q.31.

Everyone at the Tudor court was slim, beautiful, clean, fresh smelling and aged really, really well. Cromwell who died at fifty six didn't look a day over forty on the scaffold. Charles Brandon didn't age at all for at least ten years. They put this down to the extremley pious life style they all followed.

We are an AU site which uses history as a guide, and takes aspects from the Tudors TV series, and the Elizabeth movies, but other than that, we are 100% AU. It really is up to you, the members, to decide what direction your characters and, ultimately, this site goes in.
As of now, Edward is dead, and in his place sits his devoutly Catholic sister, Mary. For months Mary has been hiding behind closed doors, in fear of the public she now has to rule, the majority of which are Protestant. Never imagining she would live to sit on the throne, the new queen not only has to deal with her people, but the secretaries who once worked so diligently for her brother. Between her citizens, and her council, returning to the old ways, and forging the bonds that were once broken with the Sea of Rome, will not be easy for the eldest Tudor, but she is determined to try.
We're currently in the year 1551, due to move in to 1552 once the present Christmas festivities have passed. A handful of canons are needed and available, as follows:

Hello Everyone!
This is a game that will be a bit difficult, but fun! We are going to modernize the Tudors. Starting in 1973 and going to 2011 which will be the end of Henry VIII's "reign" we will put them in the 20-21st century.
Rules:
People and their beliefs, and their names will remain the same, for example Henry will still be the same old Henry with a desire for a male heir. He will still have his six wives and 3 children. Cases like Catherine of Aragon can become Catherine Aragon.
You may take an event, job, or object and modernize it in sequence. For example Henry's Master of the Horse could become his chauffer. I will start it off so you guys will know what to do and I will tell you what time frame were in so pay close attention!
Setting: Houston Texas, 1973
Game will be based on creativity and how well you stick to the timeframes. Points will be awarded on a scale from 1-5. Were starting off in the 1970's for now, so stick to the technology, and fashions of that decade. Have fun! :)
Also as we will progress quickly, feel free to update the technology such as cars, clothes, and watches. For example, Henry wouldn't drive a car from the 70's in 2011. I will calculate points at the end of each time frame and let you know who how many points.
For future reference: keep the story line going if your changing events. Keep in line with previous posts on events.

We now come to the reign of Elizabeth (The Golden Age). This was the longest reign in the house of Tudor. Elizabeth was every inch her father's daughter - she is quoted as saying "I may not be a lion but I am a lion's cub"..

Last year I started a game where we put ten facts about Henry his wives and courtiers. I thought we could have a new version with members of the cast. Starting with JRM, Henry Cavill & James Frain and then going onto other cast members. I will start us off with facts about JRM. If each person playing can copy the list and then write their fact and also put a number by the side when we have 10 facts we go onto the next actor which will be Henry Cavill. when we have 10 facts about him we go onto James Frain. .
1) JRM was born Jonathan Michael Francis O'Keefe on the 27.7.1977 in Dublin
2) The family moved to Cork when Jonathan was nearly one year old
