You know, Fraser, pg. 269 gives a tantalizing hint that Elizabeth, too may have been brought back to court. The passage is so brief it could easliy be missed. She says, 'As for Elizabeth, the King was described as being 'very affectionate' toward his little "Madam Ysabeau' : the verdict of the court was that he 'loves her very much.' Fraser's source is the Letters and Papers of Henry VIII. She says nothing about Jane's relations with Elizabeth other than that 'Queen Jane's role was to be that benevolent 'mother' to both princesses (the word stepmother was not used) which indeed she showed herself.'
