MORE ABOUT ME...

I joined this wiki because:
Well the main reason was because I researched my families genealogy and saw that some of my ancestors were related to Elizabeth I and King Henry VIII. After that I started watching movies and series to get a better understanding of my ancestors. That's when I came upon The Tudors Series, I fell in love with the show and then after doing some more further research online found my self here at the Tudor wiki. There have been just too much coincidence in my life regarding my ancestry, its a bit overwhelming really.

The best word to describe me is:
Spontaneous, adventures, a little too risky, daring, courageous, fearless, open minded, "different and a little strange", passionate, loyal, a nerd lol...I love anything to do with science and technology and the unusual. But also, I am heavily in to ancient history and civilizations, including mythology. I am not really all that good at defining myself in new places so I will add to this question as time goes by and I get better acquainted with the site....did I mention I am also a bit shy? :)

Interests: See
"Why I Joined This Wiki" above

Favorite movies:
Elizabeth: The Golden Age, Elizabeth, Hancock, City Of Angels, Prophecy Series, Knowing, Starman and many others.

Favorite TV shows:
Duh? lol, The Tudors, Grimm, Being Human, Sliders, Fallen, The Event, V, Fringe, Warehouse 13...I don't watch TV too often.

My hero(es): OMG! so many: Anna Deavere Smith, Queen Catherine of Aragon, Sir Thomas More, Jane Seymour, Queen Elizabeth I, Eustace Chapuys, Vincent Willem van Gogh, Mother Teresa, Mark Twain, Plato, Socrates, Jesus, Joan of Arc, Amelia Earhart, Nikola Tesla, St Michael, GOD, Edgar Cayce, Horus, Neitzche, Gahndi

My superpower is: Knowing when danger is around the bend, since I was really little I have been able to avoid dangerous situations by being aware of them before they ever happen...intuition, ESP, call it what you want, its a gift that has helped me stay alive for 30 years with being beaten up only once in my life when I was 15 by some bullies. Thanks to whatever this is, I have only ever been at the wrong place at the wrong time but once. A legend some say is that blood of the Merovingian and the Druids flows through those descended from most royals and descendents of the Tudors, legend has it that the Merovingian and Druids had supernatural abilities and that these abilities have been passed down to the decedents, my mother and my sister also have this interesting ability....who knows!

If I could live anywhere, it would be: France Or Egypt

My dream job(s): Archeology, Astronomy

What else you should know about me: My family (Furtaw) are descendants of my family descending from the French monarchs through King Louis I, King of the Franks (Merovignians) and co-Emperor with his father, Charlemagne (Carolingian Dynasty)...through Xavier Francois and descendents of Xavier Francois which became Furtaw also spelled Fortin through time. The following is from The Furtaw Family History page, http://members.cox.net/furtawpage/history.htm and provides more insight on the interconnections of the Furton, Freton, Forton, Fortin, and Furtaw families. Julian "dit Belfontaine" Fortin, son of Julien Fortin and Marie Lavye, emmigrated from France to Quebec, Canada about 1650. Sometime after 1830, his great-great-great-grandson Francois-Xavier Fortin and his wife Angelle (Frappier) Fortin left Canada for Michigan, settling initially in Detroit and then on to Ira Township in St. Clair County. Francois and Angelle had 10 children. Many of their descendants are still living in Michigan, primarily in St Clair, Bay and Wayne counties. Some relocated to other parts of the U.S. including Pennsylvania, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York and Washington in the early 1900s. There are now Furtaws in more than 18 states. The "Furtaw" name evolved from "Fortin" in the latter part of the 1800s. Eventually almost all of the descendants of Francois-Xavier became Furtaws or Furtahs.

Through Louis I (Louis the Pious) and Charles II (Charles the Bald) and through Charles II and to Charles III and through Charles III and through Henry V of England and from Henry IV of England to Edward IV of England and then to Elizabeth of York from Elizabeth Of York to Henry VIII of England and Elizabeth Tudor I am descended from the Tudor Dynasty.
