Proclamation: For me it's not about Catholic vs. Protestant but about people 's personalities, motivations and deeds

Favorite Tudor Queen: Anne Boleyn, whose faults are outweighed by her good points -- self-made woman, religiously progressive, great mother. On the bad side, she was narcissistic and ill tempered.

Second Favorite Tudor Queen Consort: Katherine of Aragon --Beauty, power and resilience (why is this in white print? Is it the ghost of KA?). On the bad side, she was co-dependent, and a religious extremist and this hurt both herself and her daughter.
Do I like Maria Doyle Kennedy and Natalie Dormer because I like the queens? No. I like them because they're fantastic actresses.

Unfavorite Tudor Queen Consort: Queen Jane. She seems to have been mostly motivated by partisan politics.
Do I hold my dislike for Queen Jane against the actresses? No. I liked Anita Briem a lot.

Favorite "The Tudors" Male Actor: JRM, HM

Favorite "The Tudors" Female Actor: ND, SB

Henry VIII Was: Narcissistic but not a sociopath, progressive early on, tyrannical later in his reign, and suffered from a disease that caused him to become mentally unstable. His reign was somewhat successful and his family adored him despite his ill treatment of them.

Mary I was: Not a great queen by any means, but gets a worse rap t han she deserves because she executed Protestants.

Elizabeth I was: A good queen overall for England, but, she wasn't very nice to my ancestors' country, Ireland. She was not, however, as bad as I was once led to believe, so I am no longer an Elizabeth-hater as I used to be. I rather admire her now but with reservations, and she did engage in religion-based executions to preserve her crown, as Mary did.

Chapuys was: A reactionary gossip monger.

Culpepper was: A sociopath

Katheryn Howard was: Karma for Henry, as well as a dimwit

Thomas Boleyn was: A pimp

Anne of Cleves was: Good hearted and savvy, with excellent taste in men.

My Very Own Coined Phrase: "Noggin-Challenged" to describe beheaded persons
