I love this scene too although I think it was more lust for Charles. Something he felt was love at the time but he clearly didn't given the circumstances (in the series). Lady_Amber

It is so sad she was sent away. She was so good and strong. - Chocobasse

This scene made me go like this O_O

If only her innocence was believed. - Chocobasse10

This scene speaks volumes in the truth of Henry's "Great Matter". There's a reason it took seven years for Henry to get his divorce. -LNor19

Agreed, Catherine is awesome. Henry was an idiot for putting her aside._hohumpigsbum

Catherine of Aragon, a true queen in every way! - Chocobasse10

Katharine was brave to say that.
I'mTheCheesecakeHere

Actor (s): Nick Dunning & Natalie Dormer

"There's something deep and dangerous in you, Anne. Those eyes of yours are like dark hooks for the soul."

Comments:
This would be true for the real Anne! I think this is one of the best quotes throughout the whole 4 seasons. Grace_B

I thank so too,but shes always misjudged by the court for her family's mistakes,i mean her FATHER put her up to this, she should have been freed and he should have be beheaded.

Anne's eyes are dark hooks for the soul, and I really like how she used this to her advantage, but didn't cross the line.

Henry, you were old, not young! Anne, you shouldn't have been sorry, it was the best you could do, Henry should be sorry for being so disloyal.
I'mTheCheesecakeHere

So much pressure to have a son, poor Anne! Lady_Amber
The Tudors Memorable Quotes - The Tudors Wiki

Season:2
Episode:8
Character (s):Anne Boleyn & King Henry VIII
Actor (s):Natalie Dormer & Jonathan Rhys Meyers
Scene: After Anne miscarries, Henry visits her...

Anne: "You have no one to blame but yourself for this.I was distressed to see you with that wrench Jane Seymour, because the love I bear you is so great. It broke my heart to see you love the others.

Comments:
This is probably my favourite quote in the whole show. Even if she had no right to say that or it wasn't true nobody can deny that this quote is just awesome! AMAZING!! + I think it is very true and a really fair point, I could imagine the real Anne saying this. Grace_B

I think it was his fault too not just hers

Henry was to blame for her miscarriage. he just couldn't wait until the baby was born he had to start going after another woman.

God, Henry behaves like a complete idiot! It's not Anne's fault she lost the child. - Chocobasse10

Anne, you are right, but I think Jane Seymour is to blame as well.
I'mTheCheesecakeHere

I don't know how she could say this when the only reason she is queen is for the doing the exact same thing Jane Seymour did. Lady_Amber

The Tudors Memorable Quotes - The Tudors Wiki

Season:2
Episode:9
Character (s): Anne Boleyn, King Henry VIII, Princess Elizabeth Tudor
Actor (s): Jonathan Rhys Meyers & Natalie Dormer

Scene: After her brother's arrest Anne begs Henry...

Anne: "Henry please.Henry please. For the love you bear our child for the love of Elizabeth have mercy"
Henry:"You lied me, you've always lied me"
Anne:"NO"
Henry: "You were not a virgin when you married me. You are not what you seem.Your father and your brother arranged everything"
Anne: "No,I loved you, I loved you and I love you still. Please after all we have been to each other, after everything we were, please. One more chance, one more. Henry!! YOUR MAJESTY!! YOUR MAJESTY I BESEECH YOU!!!

Comments: Such an intense scene and was brilliantly based on historical fact. I blame mostly Cromwell for Anne's downfall, That is why I've never really liked him. Grace_B

These scene is really sad,i wonder what would had happen if Henry gave Anne one more chance.

Yes her father and uncle arranged everything but Henry made it too easy for them. The Seymours did the same thing! He gives his affection so easily to the families of the woman he beds and marries that it is far too hard to resist taking advantage of that. He has no one to blame but himself.

If only Henry would have given her another chance! It was really his own fault in the end. He couldn't see pass the clear ambition of the Boleyn's, he only saw Anne. - Chocobasse10

You have lied her Henry, admit. Your wives speak nothing but truth and all you speak is lies.
I'mTheCheesecakeHeer

Such a sad scene. After all he did just to be with her too, the king was so easy changeable. Lady_Amber

Pope Paul II as portrayed by Peter O'Toole

Season: 2
Episode: 3
Character (s): Pope Paul III, Cardinal Lorenzo Campeggio

Scene: Cardinal Campeggio discusses a document with Pope Paul III that prevents enslavement of native people in the "new world" by European kings.

"The fact is, Campeggio, that the kings of Europe have power, but no morality. I must act as their conscience. They are my willful children, and I their father leading along the paths of righteousness...so help me God."

Later in this same scene (just a few seconds afterwards), when Campeggio discusses the appointment of Cranmer, Pope Paul III makes the following comment:

"What harm can a nobody inflict upon our holy church?"

Comments:

Katherine at the Legatine Court
Season: 1
Episode: 8
Character (s): Queen Katherine of Aragon
Actor (s): Maria Doyle Kennedy

Scene: Katherine to Henry at the Legatine Court in Blackfriars

"Sir I beseech you. For all the love that has been between us. Let me have justice & right. Give me some pity & compassion for I am a poor woman & a stranger born out of your dominion. I have no friend here & little counsel. I plea to you as head of justice in this realm. I call God and all the world to witness that I have been to you a true humble and obedient wife ever compliant to your will & pleasure. I have loved all those whom you have loved for your sake whether or not I had cause. Whether they be friends or enemies. By me you have had many children. Although it has pleased God to call them from this world. But when you had me at first , I take God as my judge, I was a true maid without touch of men. And whether or not it be true, I put it to your conscience."

Comments: These are the actual words that Katherine used at the court.

Shame they cut down Katherine's speech quite a bit, but well, Maria delivers it wonderfully, I think I've only seen one actress deliver it better - Frances Cuka (and she has the correct colouring for Katherine too)

Seduce me

Season: 1
Episode:
Character (s): Anne Boleyn & King Henry VIII
Actor (s): Natalie Dormer & Jonathan Rhys Meyers
Scene: Henry is dreaming about Anne.

"Seduce me. Write letters to me. And poems, I love poems. Ravish me with your words. Seduce me."

Comments: This scene was incredible. I think it was very 'dreamy' and something that Henry probably would have dreamt when he'd fell in love with Anne. I love the quote! Grace_B

I really like the way they filmed this scene it was really nice. Plus Anne was looking hot here.

This is called: True love.
I'mTheCheesecakeHere

Scene: Henry has dinner with Katherine in the Queen's chambers. Katherine expresses her love to her husband after the meal.

"I have never known another man....and nor would I ever want to."

Comments: This simple quote shows Katherine's utter devotion to her husband, even as far as to dismiss all others for him. -LNor19

You have to be a fool if you cannot see just how much she loves him and is devoted to him. Who says arranged marriages are loveless? - Chocobasse10

Charles Brandon as played by Henry Cavill

Episode:9
Character (s):French Ambassfor Marallic and Edward Seymour
Actor (s):Max Brown
French Ambassador Marillac to Edward Seymour

You lost the argument for the war my lord but you can win it for peace

Opening credit of episode 10 season 4

Season: 4
Episode: 10
Character (s): King Henry VIII
Actor (s): Jonathan Rhys Meyers (voice over)

Opening scene of the last episode, the King's voice is heard:

When we compare the present life of men on Earth with their time of which we have no knowledge; it seems to me like the swift flight of a single sparrow through a banqueting hall on a winters day. After a few moments of comfort, he vanishes from sight into the wintry world from which he came. Even so, man appears on Earth for a little while but of what went before this life or what will follow, we know nothing.

Comments: This is a quote from a Latin work by Bede called "Historia Ecclesiastica Gentis Anglorum" (Ecclesiastical History of the English People, Book II, Chapter 13) finished in 731 AD. Something Henry would probably have read.

Here is the full quote translated from the Latin : "When we compare the present life of man on earth to that time of which we have no knowledge, it seems to me like the swift flight of a single sparrow through the banqueting hall where you are sitting at dinner on a winter's day with your thanes and counsellors. In the midst there is a comforting fire to warm the hall; outside, the storms of winter rain or snow are raging. This sparrow flies swiftly in through one door of the hall, and out through another. While he is inside, he is safe from the winter storms; but after a few moments of comfort, he vanishes from sight into the wintry world from which he came. Even so, man appears on earth for a little while; but of what went before this life or of what follows, we know nothing."
