St George's Chapel where Henry VIII & his 3rd wife Jane Seymour are buried.
Stone on the floor of St. George's Chapel marking the tomb of Henry VIII and Jane Seymour. The site was intended as a temporary grave until the opulent tomb Henry requested was completed. It was never constructed and the grave in St. George's Chapel became his permanent resting place. Reads, "In a vault beneath this marble slab are deposited the remains of Jane Seymour Queen of King Henry VIII 1537, King Henry VIII 1547, King Charles I 1649 , and an infant child of Queen Anne. In Memorium was placed here by command of King William IV 1837"
